Undefined Pattern - Mexican Latin Trance EP

One of the projects of the Mexican producer Luis Fernando Hernández, head of the Bonkers label, entitled LFB, comes to an end. From the distant EP "Elements" on Borderless Project three years ago, to Illegal Alien's Myths and Legends and multiple original mixes and remixes on Bonkers, LFB is ready to lower the curtain. And as each cycle has its closure, which brings new possibilities, the end of LFB comes with a celebration: one of its most representative tracks, Synesthesia, is wrapped in a beautiful Remix Package in which Mexican talents are in charge of interpreting the  original track "Synesthesia".

We present Elliot Salazar Herrera, originally from the city of León, Guanajuato, Mexico, better known as NoctLux, dj and producer focused on genres such as Indie Dance, EBM and Techno, organizer at Hedonist Collective and resident of TALLER headquarters, presents its mix Stoned Jam!!

Roam Recordings kicks off 2022 with up and coming Canadian artist RJ Maxwell who brings forth two original electronic dance floor movers. The title track - Motherboard - is a driving energetic offering with melodic electronic underpinnings. The second original - Activate - is an upbeat chugger with a playful vocal. The EP is backed with three diverse remixes. The first is from Wonder Stories boss AIMES who infuses dark psychedelic energy into a shimmering remix of the original title track. For the second remix Canadian cohorts jON2 join in with a gorgeous low slung version of Motherboard. Rounding it out is Roam’s own Jason Peters who edges Activate into cosmic breaks territory.

Hailing from the U.S., Minneapolis-based producer DYR (@dyr) elevates dance floors with her atmospheric, beat-forward sets that offer an eclectic blend of techno, house, and disco. Outside of the club, DYR (real name Colleen Burns) works assembling high-end effects pedals -- a position perfectly suited for a producer with a love for delay and all-things FX.

DYR’s original tracks Skippy and Hello pay homage to early 00's house and were created on a legendary Yamaha RS7000. Skippy serves up DYR's trademark grooves coupled with shimmering synths, delayed percussion, and chunky kick drums while Hello is a rolling disco ride with amped up energy and bold breakbeats. Remixes from Jessica Bellomo (@jessicabellomo) and Axel Sundelin round out the extended player by delivering their own abstracted electro takes while retaining the original tracks’ unmistakable energy.

PREMIERE - Undefined Pattern - No Regular Value (Richmerch)

Mexican hot shot Roy Parra aka Tiempo De Maldad (SXDNS173/FREEDL008) makes his debut on the respected Lisbon-based label Karakter Records with the interesting “Neptune Fog”. Featuring three tracks – two originals and a rework of the title track –, the EP is another perfect example of the creativity and production skills of the talented Capitalino artist who successfully manages to combine acoustic instruments with electronic paraphernalia. The result delivers a refreshing and innovative soundscape that encompasses a pretty good deal of genres and sometimes hands over a hard-to-pigeonhole theme.

The title premiered here, for instance, is so rich and dense that we honestly prefer not to accept the challenge of labelling it. Throughout its almost nine minutes, “Neptune Fogs” enchants with beautiful melodies, resourceful percussive elements, an alluring bassline, trippy guitar riffs, and a magical flute blanket made with love by musician Max Stern. Its mysterious and seductive atmosphere is simply enticing!
