@OlimpiadaRecords are back with their second release. 'The City EP' is the creation of Brighton, UK based artist Via Tirana. Written by himself and Erlind Hoxha aka Uj Pa Gaz. Recorded at Third Circle Recordings and mixed by Jim Corbin of Corbin Sounds. Featuring 2 originals and a remix of the title track.

'The City' is a dark post-rock/electronic journey with a never ending delayed guitar riff, drums that build slowly around a subby / warm bass and then the vocal hook  which comes later in the track that lead the tune towards a supernova ending of guitar and heavenly pads.

Dresden producer @KikeAmRadar is on remix duty and delivers a club friendly rework. By stripping it down to it's core of mainly beats and bass synths, this gives the track a whole other identity and one which will be ripping up many a dancefloor.

Haut is a new remix EP by Utopyk & El Fulminador. The title track, a song with Trip-Hop atmospheres and a slow four-to-the-floor beat, has been previously released on Fulmen Records as part of the album “2011”.

This EP contains 7 tracks in total: 3 alternative versions remixed by guest musicians Montessori, Sacv and Lucare, plus 3 interpretations by El Fulminador, created during the composition of the original song. As a whole, the EP represents a stylistic trip from Trip-Hop to Disco, Slow Techno and Experimental Music.

Utopyk & El Fulminador are a duo from Spain and Argentina based in Berlin, where they founded Fulmen Records in 2014. Their music merges dark electronic beats with vocals in modern and ancient dead languages.

From France to Mexico via China: Motel77 take us to rowdy roadside destinations we didn't even know existed on their Duro EP debut: 'Savage'

The title track gets the engine running. Buckle up and prepare for a sweltering ride as the Shanghai-based French duo follow up their past successes on La Dame Noir with four moody, heavy missions. It's hot, it's sweaty, it's loaded it's with big sweeping guitar blasts. It's the sound of two men in full control of their machines. And it's backed by three more dark disco treats.

'Three On The Floor' raises its third leg and slams it on the table in two very distinct ways: the original slugs into hypnotic existence, layer by trippy percussive layer, while Sascha Funke ups the tempo with his creepier, more technoid flavoured twist.

Finally we arrive at our destination; the epic waves of 'It Is All Over'. At first it shimmers like a mirage, then slowly the ground opens out beneath and it sucks you up like a sinkhole. You think it's all over?

Hermano Poulper (SXDNS146) makes his debut on the beloved German label Emerald & Doreen, curated by The Robot Scientists (SXDNS028), with a gripping 6-track EP: Two beautiful originals and four enthralling remixes provided by some of the finest artists of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene: “Ciclo” receiving an interesting indie version by French Id!r (Mange Moi Records) and a minimal interpretation by Argentinian DJ Braver (Maleza Records); and “Consecuencias” deriving a percussive, organic and weird interpretation by Argentinian Martin Noise (SXDNS143/Playground Records) and a space rock-ish version by Mexican Corresponsal (Maleante Records). 
 
We chose the latter to review, and it is a bomb, peeps! Corresponsal revisioned “Consecuencias” and branded it with his characteristic style, faithful to his Mexican roots, yes, but taking the theme to a journey through a cosmic reality, adding a robotic vocal and laser-like FXs influenced by science fiction series, resulting in a compelling retro-futuristic sonority.
