Mexican duo Sierra Madre is thrilled to unveil their first EP, "Cumbres". The collaboration project of producers @mijomijo and @colossiomx, offers a unique blend of techno and indie dance, influenced by the stories of Monterrey City, Mexico. The release includes a collaboration with @moiseesduro and a remix by Esprit Divers.

Inspired by the tragic events that took place in “Cumbres” neighborhood, the EP opens with the title track, a dark, hypnotic, and evocative cut. It is followed by "Cadereyta," the name of the prison where the perpetrator of the Cumbres murders serves his sentence. A cut featuring distorted synthesizers and a driving drumbeat.

Next is "Diego," the track in collaboration with Moisees, a sinister, powerful, and gummy jam. To close the release, Esprit Divers' “Cumbres” remix provides a powerful and introspective cut, taking listeners on a journey of groovy self-discovery.

It was just a few months ago that the Mexican DJ/producer released Aluxes, his first EP on Lumière Noire. 
That record‘s four astounding tracks (complete with a Tolouse Low Trax remix) further re- fined the producer’s approach to dark disco: off-kilter and bordering on the iconoclastic, but always dancefloor oriented. At the same time, the Jalisco native demonstrated how one can very much stand out on the worldwide electronic music scene while remaining faithful to one’s roots, infusing the EP’s hypnotic mid-tempo grooves with haunting incantations to Mayan deities – and other mischievous mythological creatures. 
In keeping with Chloé’s A&R policy, Xu Xu’s two tracks and two remixes continue in the same vein, indulging in off-beat signatures and innovative electronic flourishes, taking the listener on a languid tour of a dense, luxuriant jungle – as if floating on a raft of mysterious percus- sion and hallucinated voices. 
Just like on Vontier’s previous effort, the listener is left with the impression of being slowly taken over by a spell, sinking into a ritual trance prompted by the bewitching chants of Tel Aviv’s Xen (a vocalist who runs in the same circles as Red Axes). 
Vontier doubles down on the electronic hexes with a version of the title track (Otra Version) giving the bold mystical invocation a slightly rougher edge. 
The track also gets the remix treatment from the incredible Roman Flügel (a pioneer of labels Playhouse, Dial and Klang), who has recently put his stamp on tracks by Daniel Avery and  C.A.R. 
The EP concludes with a second original track, Chiquitita On Acid, with its alternately tuned keyboards (a Vontier signature) and whispered vocals that place the listener at the cross- roads of universes, between dawn and dusk, resulting in a lascivious dancefloor groove that is equal parts haunting and hedonistic. 
Just like Xu Xu, Chiquitita’s original version will be part of Iñigo Vontier’s debut album (co- ming to Lumière Noire sometime in the next few months), a full-length that will build upon the young artist’s strengths, bringing his many facets to light.

The next 12 incher on Wrong Era is made by Marching Machines, a duo made of two Belgian powerhouses: Dimitri Andreas and Spacid. Their love for electronic machine manipulation and their musical history that spans over 2 decades, built an excellent foundation for this brand new project. “Lonesome” is a slow burning dark electro track with howling and gloomy synths that flow into acidic tendencies. “Desolat” continues on the emotional path of the previous track, embracing solitude on a broken rhythm, ending up in arpeggiating classic and cosmic italo track. In succession of that, there’s “Driven” which moves up to dancefloor dynamics by using harder and raw sounds, combined with an analogue pulsewave sound generator and building into a release of energy with wavy synths and smashing snares. The final track is a remix of “Lonesome” by one of Wrong Era’s label bosses Fabrizio Mamarella. While the original idea is still intact, the remix is a definite bigger and faster version, implying a stark contrast that still remains powerful, perfectly made for the dancefloor.

Tritha Sinha from New Delhi, India and Manuel aka World Wild Web from Nantes, France first met in 2014 at a traveling caravan festival in the South of France while touring with their respective psychedelic rock bands. A collaboration was already on their minds right from the start.

In 2015, when Manuel went to India to discover its culture and music, the two of them spent more time together to exchange their knowledge about music and to develop a common language. Tritha already knew Europe and France well when they first met, but it was only after Manuel learned more about the sound and the culture of India that he became able to produce tracks resonating with Tritha’s voice.

In the summer of 2019, the two of them finally found the time to record some tracks together in Manuel's studio in Berlin. Together, they came up with a mesmerizing and spiritual set of tracks, uniting their two very different cultures into an enlightening, that can be sometimes sound as dark as an Acid Arab tune that would take an Indian twist (Prophet), or as colorful as a 70’s Bollywood-film choreography (Peacock Garden)

But the trip doesn’t quite end up here, HIFI/LOFI Records are very happy to welcome a legend of the DFA family in the house, in the name of The Juan MacLean. We’ve been spinning and dancing countless times on his music, so it’s a great pleasure to have him on board with a trippy remix full of punchy arpeggiated stamina. Last but not least, HIFI/LOFI label-boss Franz Matthews finishes the story by grounding us back to Earth level, with a darker version of Peacock Garden that will satisfy every amateur of World-infused Downtempo Disco.

Play Pal Music founder Teniente Castillo joins the Roam Recordings family with a new release titled All The Way Down. The EP showcases two deftly crafted low slung psychedelic original offerings characteristic of Teniente Castillo's style. The release is backed by two Roam alumni. Up first is Roe Deers who takes on the title track and picks up the pace with a bit of other worldly quirkiness. Rounding out the EP is a powerful remix from Jonathan Kusuma who brings the EP home with a driving hypnotic version.

World Wild Web was founded in late 2018 after years of playing various instruments and leading the psychedelic band Blondi’s Salvation, the need for fresh inspiration and more artistic freedom pushed him to explore electronic music and its flexibility. His recent studies of Indian music opened up new paths for his musical creations which he is now exploring with Goa based artist Tritha who first met in 2014 at a traveling caravan festival in the South of France while touring with their respective bands. Tritha has 25 years of Indian classical music experience under her belt and is also part of the Indo-French psychedelic rock band Tritha Electric, and the Indian woman collective SPACE in addition to running sound healing workshops that conducted in India and throughout the world. In the summer of 2019, they came up with a mesmerizing set of tracks, uniting their two very different cultures into an enlightening sonic adventure which drop on HIFI/LOFI Records this July.
‘Prophet’ showcases World Wild Web’s colourful production style featuring an organic conglomerate of distinct global influences from experimental dance music, 70s psych, African electronic, Indian music and Acid House.
Tritha’s mystical vocals entice you throughout above the broken, natural percussion and oscillating sonics.The track is inspired by Sufism, a spiritual branch of Islam highlighting the need of seeing spirituality as an evolution and engagement with the inner spirt of every soul. In ‘Peacock Garden’ Tritha engages in vocals inspired by the 12th century Dhrupad rare vocal techniques – an exploration of the inner voice to outside voice through deep focus and devotion with the track offering up a low slung, laid back cut with transcendental atmospheres achieved through the uplifting Indian instrumentals. 
HIFI/LOFI Records welcome a legend of the DFA Records family to the label, in the name of The Juan MacLean with a trippy remix full of punchy arpeggiated stamina, revolving synth flutters and cosmic waves. Last but not least, label boss Franz Matthews finishes the story by grounding us back to Earth level, with a darker version of
