Fabrizio Mammarella is an Italian selector, producer and label owner among many other things in the world of Music.
Boasting a discography that includes dozens of clubbing anthems, remixes, as well as successful collaborations with Lauer (as Black Spuma), Rodion and Clap Rules; he is also the “one man band” in Telespazio, an infamous side project focusing on experimental music.

Since his first release in 2004, Fabrizio has been constantly delivering hits for labels such as DFA, Permanent Vacation, Correspondant, Live At Robert Johnson, Les Disques De La Mort, Futureboogie and his own imprint Slow Motion Music /Wrong Era records, leading the Italian Dance Wave movement for over ten years. Fabrizio is also the head behind Emet, a record label centred on limited specialreleases crawling in the realm of weirdo electronic music, especially cut for thequirkiest and demanding dancefloors.

Fabrizio has played and hosted label nights at some of the best clubs and festivals around the globe, with regular nights in Berlin and his home country of Italy. He is definitely not moving in “slow motion”.

The popular South American artist is now a resident of Berlin and is sharing his unique sound which flutters between new wave and post punk to electro and occultism. There is no better way to get a taste than to listen to this super mix he rustled up for us.

ABOUT

1) Introduce yourself?

My name is Alejandro Molinari, I was born in Venezuela and spent many years in Mexico until I moved to Berlin.

2) What have been your highlights from the last 12 months?

Playing at Goute de Nuit’s parties in Paris, full of loyal listeners and a very interesting Italo Disco & New Wave concept. I would also mention my latest Live Act at Katerblau, as one the deepest connections I’ve felt with the audience. Also charting #1 best Indie Dance track last May on Beatport with the Remix I did for Sex Kino  called ‘Who Do You Love’.

3) What do you have lined up for the coming year?

I have a new album called “Santo Ritmo” coming out on Playground Records with remixes from Mijo, Middle Sky Boom and Teniente Castillo. Also a new single “Noche de Berlin” coming out this summer on Nein Records. Its similar to my latest track “Discoteca Mexicana” with vocals in Spanish and a driving bassline.

Argentinian guy Damian aka Skelesys is a versatile, ever-evolving and particularly cutting-edge artist. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, he has freshly settled in the creative surrounding of Berlin. Besides his passion for painting, electronic music has become the center of his artistic life – so he’s a producer and live act with a strong musical background inspired by Hard Rock, Post-Punk, Synth Pop, Coldwave and science fiction or horror movies. Playing drums in the age of three became his first love. After several years of playing in live bands, producing electronic music has opened a whole new world to him that would change his way of hearing, composing and feeling music.
His sound can be defined as haunted, functional and effective, as a result of a delicate and neat mixture of post-punk, coldwave, italo disco with techno. Marked basses are accompanied by thrilled melodies and subtle grooves, surrounded with a touch of darkness and a stripped down futuristic vibe – not afraid of experimenting and looking deep into the void between the senseless and the rhythmic.
