Mannix & Lisa Shaw’s gorgeous ‘So Much Time’ single was originally released in 2016 to great acclaim, now fresh for 2022, Mannix, along with a little help from Opolopo and André Bonsor (Schmoov!), has given it the makeover treatment for Dafia Records. Opolopo brings his signature jazzy vibes, offering a large dose of Funk with a NuDisco twist, along with some sublime key action. Mannix turns out a super funky Disco Dub, loaded with a mean bass hook, and rounding off the package, André Bonsor delivers a spacious Deep House rework, teased with airy melancholy synth melodies to compliment Lisa’s vocal.

For years now Xinobi has been the staple of the Portuguese electronic music scene, dominating that deep house and techno sound has seen him make a mark not only in his own country but right across Europe and further afar. Despite Xinobi’s appetite for devouring various sounds and genres, there is a unique watermark and consistency to his output, due not least to his musical and arrangement-based skills. His recent current creative output has led to constant stream of singles over the last couple of years. A process that started back in 2018 with ‘Dance to Hits’ released on his own ever influential Discotexas, and has included releases on other labels such as MoBlack and Radiant. With a new album, his first since 2017’s highly acclaimed ‘On The Quiet’, currently in the works, the idea of a retrospective was born, a collection of singles to bring us up to date, entitled ‘A Collection of Xinobi Dance Songs’, it collects the intervening time between albums, as he heads back in to the studio to complete work on his highly anticipated next full length release.
