Opening this VA is ”L’Ecstatic Desordre del Silenci”, an ambient piece by nonbinary Catalan artist glxgls which plays with the ever changing contrasting movements of emotional journeys. A soft and serene atmosphere enveloped in textured pads, accentuated by stable rhythmical  sounds grounding this first state of being, sees it stillness broken half way through by the noisy irruption of chaotic percussions and menacing floats of dissonant sounds. As the intensity builds, chaos is empowering itself to take over, like an unstoppable force that will swallow everything. Yet right when it feels like we lost it all, the music starts reorganizing itself, like a living creature taming itself with melodies and stridents chords, both dissonant and back right where they’re supposed to be.

Amour is the first single of Maxime Dangles' new album "Le Roman de Carpentier" 

At the request of the CNC (National Cinema Center) Maxime Dangles has realized for a date series across France a cine-concert on the rare and innovative silent film of 1913 "Le Roman de Carpentier" tribute to the first French boxing world champion.

The result is twelve tracks between ambient, IDM and electronica, exploring the story from all angles and feelings.

A sound narrative of great finesse, affirming the richness of Maxime Dangles' production work and his ability to draw singular landscapes from which strong emotions emerge, following in the footsteps of Hans Zimmer, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' original soundtracks, while exploring the most experimental side of club music.

Maxime Dangles entered the electronic music scene 15 years ago on the Kompakt label, collecting prestigious remixes (Moby, Green Velvet, Simian Mobile Disco, Kittin & The Hacker...). Reference of the international electronic scene, he’s renowned for his immersive and singular sound design that he shapes with his modular synths. But for the last 4 years, Maxime Dangles has slowed down his club dates to devote himself to this type of creation, to the spatialization of sound, in places such as the SAT in Montreal and to the SONARS arts and sciences project alongside researchers from the CNRS, who took him on board at the heart of their research on the islands of Saint-Pierre and Micquelon.
