It began with a low rumble from all degrees of the horizon, and envelopment of portentous sound that seemed to emanate from everywhere and nowhere all at once. From high above, fluctuations in the jetstream whipped the clouds into a frenzy, stretching, swirling, and blending them into a slate of blackest-grey from within which thunder and lightning began to add their voices to the ensuing cacophony. As the roar on the horizon grew, the very air itself seemed to slip and surge around the sonics that cut through it, churning it from stillness into a great gale that nipped with icy jaws at the flesh of any caught within its flow. Then, as though in a perfectly discordant concert with the air above, the ground itself began to shake, roiling in opposite motion as the second wheel of a planetary mill set to grind those upon the surface into dust. From within the fissures that scarred the Earth’s surface poured rivers of magma that made a cruel mockery of the world’s aqueous veins as they brought death to all with which they intersected and poisoned the air with toxic gasses long kept locked beneath the earth. Those who strove yet to live within this hellish world could not but hear a single voice in their minds, chiding them for forgetting what had always been known, dooming them to watch as the ENSUING CATACLYSM consumed the world that had once been their home.

AGRESSOR BUNX stand before the EATBRAIN horde as the heralds of the ENSUING CATACLYSM as they deliver their second full album to the waiting ears of the label’s faithful. In case you don't know, WAR is essentially the black ops division of Technique Recordings. The USA represents in the form of LA-based duo Kronology's opener, “Vertigo”. This time they invite Noizesplitter to have his take on their sound; a stylistically sexy package, it’s been aptly named ‘Dirty Talk’ and it features three brand new tracks from the producer. Including two fresh, standalone offerings as well as a rework from Safra, who has his spin on the title-track, there’s a host of innovative music which is about to be added to the Sine Function catalogue. It’s an atmospheric and warm package which pulls together the sounds of the summer, proving that Noizesplitter was the perfect artist to take the imprint into the upcoming warmer season.
Hailing from Luzern, Switzerland, drum & bass neurofunk DJ Noizesplitter morphs his signature through a different lens for this release, pedestalling a versatility which has caught the attention of many major tastemakers. Meanwhile, it’s Santiago, Chile, where the second artist to make an appearance brings his sounds from. Together, they push the vision which Sine Function Music has built for themselves from the very beginning. And that’s why they’ve been so successful with the releases they’ve debuted across their discography.
Up first, ‘Lick’ rolls out amongst crackling sub bass and steppy drum rhythms. You’re taken into each segment by the track’s clapping kicks and its winding bassline helps to give the track its well-honed grooves. Title-track ‘Dirty Talk’ follows suit. Another offering from Noizesplitter, its lumbering bass notes drop one into the next, creating a rhythm which is difficult not to move to. Bringing the EP to a close is Safra, who twists the original ‘Dirty Talk’ and gives it a more melodic undertow. Using the signature bass provided for by Noizesplitter, it’s given segments of rising synthesis. With Safra’s expert arrangement and Noizesplitter’s grinding atmospherics, it’s a perfect example of what Sine Function Music have at their disposal amongst their roster.
