Resident triple-threat Sinerise, member of TURU Crew and noted switch witch on pirate radio's SUB FM, is a Vancouver-based producer, vocalist, and DJ. Sinerise dabbles in just about every form of electronic music, from experimental garage and ambient house, to heavy trip-hop and roots-inspired dubstep. Her broad musical passions fuel her latest productions for East Van Digital, offering a pairing of dubstep and drum and bass.

"Beams" eases right into crunchy synth stabs, cutting off until the track finds its feet in minimal percussion. It shuffles its way to a halftime sway, and glides casually into dubby, atmospheric breakbeat, with elegant elongated melody. Her progressive pad-work keep things chilled while her drums push the track upwards in the stereo fringes.

Since forming in 2016, Minneapolis-based DJ/producer trio Ternion Sound has quickly become a household name in the underground dubstep scene, churning out 140 bpm dungeon anthems with alarming consistency. In just a few short years, they've stacked releases on legendary labels like Truth's Deep Dark and Dangerous, Alix Perez's 1985 Music, and J:Kenzo's Artikal Music, while traveling all over the world and performing at Outlook Festival in Croatia, the acclaimed Black Box club in Denver, and Infrasound Festival in Wisconsin. Their explosion onto the scene is no random occurrence, however, as the trio is made up of established producers Nostalgia, Johnny Foreplay, and Apparition, but it's safe to say that their collaborative power as a group has grown exponentially since forming.

Today's premiere comes to us via Hypho and Xakra's Manuka Records, in the form of "Spiral": a new exploration for Ternion Sound into the realm of 130 bpm, drawing on influences from breaks, techno, jungle, and of course, dubstep. The defining style of Ternion Sound shines through while embarking on a new journey, and the result is exciting, to say the least. Knowing how limiting the rhythmic rigidity of the 140 bpm scene can be, it's a breath of fresh air to see artists like Ternion Sound breaking ground in other tempos. "Spiral" is the latest single from their full EP release on Manuka, aptly entitled "Exploration", forthcoming next Tuesday, September 1st, 2020. A producer, DJ, and vocalist, she is a member of TURU Crew, an assembly of producers and DJs to which she brings her unique vocal talent, production artillery, and tasteful selections. She brings her DJ sets and vocal-infused live production performances to the Vancouver scene at the city’s underground venues.

In her productions, vocals, and sets, Sinerise draws her breadth of inspiration from an upbringing rich in musical diversity. From breaks to downtempo and trip-hop, roots-inspired dubstep, autonomic halftime drum & bass, complex, experimental garage, and 2-step.
