Their greed, avarice and egotism are dispelled, and the True Guru seems sweet.

Sing the Songs of Praise of my Fearless Lord Waheguru. I surrender to that Song of Praise which brings eternal peace. Day after day, He cares for His beings; the Great Giver watches over all. Your Gifts cannot be evaluated; how can anyone compare to the great giver? The day of the eternal wedding is pre-ordained. Come, gather together and pour the oil over the threshold. My friends, give me your blessings, that I may merge with my Lord and Master. Unto each and every home, into each and every heart, this summons is sent out; the call comes each and every day. Remember in meditation the One who summons us; O Nanak, that day is drawing near !

Meeting Him, the mind is filled with bliss. He is called the True Guru. Uneasiness of the mind vanishes and  the supreme status with the Lord is obtained. How can I meet my Beloved True Guru? Each and every moment, I humbly bow to Him. How will I meet my Perfect Guru? Waheguru by His Grace, has led me to meet my Perfect True Guru. The desire of His humble servant has been fulfilled. I have received the dust of the Feet of the True Guru. Those who imbibe devotional worship to Waheguru, meet the true Guru. They never suffer any loss; they continually earn blessings of Waheguru. One whose heart blossoms forth, is not in love with duality. O Nanak, meeting the Guru, one is saved, singing the Glorious Praises of Waheguru.

There is no peace and contentment without devotion to Lord Waheguru. One attains the priceless jewel of this human life, by meditating on Him in the company of holy men, even for an instant. Many have renounced and left their children, wealth, spouses, worldly joy and pleasures. All the worldly comforts and pleasures of power - leaving these behind, the fool must depart naked. The body, scented with musk and sandalwood - that body shall come to roll in the dust ultimately. Infatuated with emotional attachment, they think that God is far away. Says Nanak, he is Ever-present !

ਮਾਧਉ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਕਹੀਐ ॥
ਹਮ ਤੇ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ 
ਜਿਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਤਿਉ ਰਹੀਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਕਿਆ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੈ ਕਿ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰਾ ਕਿਆ ਇਸੁ ਹਾਥਿ ਬਿਚਾਰੇ ॥
ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਮ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਤਿਤ ਹੀ ਲਾਗਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਖਸਮ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
ਕਰਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਸਰਬ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ਏਕ ਰੂਪ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵਹੁ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਹਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵਹੁ ॥੨॥

O Lord Waheguru, I want to keep chanting your name, always. O my master, I am incapable of doing anything by myself. My fate hinges on your mercy. What can a mere mortal do? What is in the hands of this poor creature? O my perfect master, we happen to do whatever you make us do. O Great Giver of all, take pity on me that I may enshrine my love only for one supreme being. Nanak offers this prayer to the Lord, that he may chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord Waheguru. 

हे परमात्मा, मेरी इच्छा है कि अपने मुख से हर समय तेरे नाम का उचारण करता रहूँ.  हे मेरे स्वामी मेरे कीए कुछ नहीं होता, जैसे तू चाहे मैं उसी हाल मे खुश हूँ. यह मानुष क्या कर सकता है, इस के हाथ में कुछ नहीं है. मेरे मालिक प्रभु, जैसे तुम चाहते हो हम तो उसी प्रकार जीवन बतीत करते हैं. मेरे प्रभु, समस्त के दाते, मेरे ऊपर किरपा करो कि मेरा चित ऐक परमात्मा मे लगा रहे. नानक प्रभु के समुख बेनती करता है कि मुझ पर अपने नाम जाप की किरपा करो.   

ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਇਛਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਅਪਨੇ ਮੁਖ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਵਕਤ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾਂ ਰਹਾਂ. ਮੇਰੇ ਸਵਾਮੀ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ, ਤੂੰ ਜਿਵੇ ਰਖੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹਾਂ. ਮਨੁਖ ਦੇ ਹਥ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਹੀ, ਇਸ ਬੇਚਾਰੇ ਹਥ ਕੁਜ ਨਹੀ. ਮੇਰੇ ਮਲਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਤੂ ਜਿਦਾਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਸੀ ਉਵੇ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤਤੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ. ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਰਬ ਦੇ ਦਾਤੇ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਿਵ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਗੀ ਰਹੇ. ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਗੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਓਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਰਹੇ.

ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਗ ਸੋਈ ॥ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੫॥

O shameless being, don't you feel ashamed? You have forsaken the Almighty God - now where will you go? Unto whom will you turn? One whose Master is the highest and most exalted. - it is not proper for him to go to the house of someone else. That Master Waheguru is pervading everywhere. Waheguru is always with us; He is never far away. Even Maya takes to the Sanctuary of His Lotus Feet. Tell me, what is there which is not in His home? Everyone speaks of Him and of His glory. He is His Own Master; He is the Giver. Says Kabeer, he alone is perfect in this world, in whose heart there is none other than the Lord Waheguru.

ਹੇ ਨਿਲਜ ਜੀਵ , ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ? ਤੈ ਤੇ ਵਾਹੇਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਛਡ ਹੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਜਾਓ ਗੇ ? ਕਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਲਓ ਗੇ ? ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਪਰਾਏ ਘਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਸ਼ੋਭਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਂਦਾ. ਮਾਲਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਥ ਹੈ ਕਦੇ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ । ਜਦੋਂ ਸਮਸਤ ਮਾਇਆ ਜਾਲ ਵੀ ਉਸੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੈ , ਤਾਂ ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਕਿਸ ਚੀਜ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ । ਸਮਸਤ ਭਰਮੰਡ ਉਸ ਈਸਵਰ ਦੇ ਜਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੈ । ਓਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਹੈ । ਕਬੀਰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ , ਓਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਇਸ ਜਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਪੁਣ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ।

हे निलज जीव, तुझे शर्म नहीं आती ? तूं ने परमात्मा को छोड़ा दिया है अब कहाँ जाओ गे ? किस का सहारा लो गे ? जिस का अपना मालिक महान हो उस को किसी ओर के धर जाना शोभित नहीं देता। मालिक प्रभु तो समस्त व्यापक है और सदा हमारे संग है कभी दूर नहीं जाता। जब समस्त माया जाल भी उसी परमातम के अधीन है, तो हे मनुष्य उस के घर किस चीज़ की कमी हो सकती है। समस्त भरमंड उस परमात्मा के जस गायन मे मस्त है। वोह प्रभु पूर्ण समरथ है और सभी जीवों का दाता है। कबीर कहते हैं, वोह जीव इस जग मे निपुण है जिस के हिरदय में प्रभु परमेश्वर के इलावा और कुछ नहीं है।

Rae Jee Nilaj Laaj Tohae Naahee ... Raag Gauri Bhi Sorath Bhi ~ ਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਨਿਲਜ ਲਾਜ ਤੋਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ .. ਰਾਗੁ ਗਉੜੀ ਭੀ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਭੀ
ਗਉੜੀ ਭੀ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਭੀ ॥

ਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਨਿਲਜ ਲਾਜ ਤੋਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਤਜਿ ਕਤ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ਜਾ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਊਚਾ ਹੋਈ ॥ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਪਰ ਘਰ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਸੋਹੀ ॥੧॥
ਸੋ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ॥੨॥
ਕਵਲਾ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਹੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ॥ ਕਹੁ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਘਰ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥੩॥
ਸਭੁ ਕੋਊ ਕਹੈ ਜਾਸੁ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾ ॥ ਸੋ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਥੁ ਨਿਜ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ॥੪॥
ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਗ ਸੋਈ ॥ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੫॥

O shameless being, don't you feel ashamed? You have forsaken the Almighty God - now where will you go? Unto whom will you turn? One whose Master is the highest and most exalted. - it is not proper for him to go to the house of someone else. That Master Waheguru is pervading everywhere. Waheguru is always with us; He is never far away. Even Maya takes to the Sanctuary of His Lotus Feet. Tell me, what is there which is not in His home? Everyone speaks of Him and of His glory. He is His Own Master; He is the Giver. Says Kabeer, he alone is perfect in this world, in whose heart there is none other than the Lord Waheguru.

Gurpreet Kaur is a homemaker and teaches Gurbani Sangeet to young and not so young students anxious to learn Gurbani Kirtan in Indian classical style. Keerat Kaur is a computer engineer and is presently in Atlanta, US.
