A dark tale of murder inspired by a true story from my home town

Skin and Bone

My version of “My Mother Told Me” the viking “sea shanty”. 

The version I knew gave the feeling of sitting by a fire, looking to the future. With my own i tried to capture this as a war song, something to get them ready to fight, kill, and die. It ended up sounding pretty epic, almost like it was from a movie score, but it gives me a sense of dread, especially compared to the other version i know that has a sort of cheerful, and optimistic view. Crazy how much of a different picture music can paint when slight things change, even if the main things like lyrics and melody dont.

I hope you enjoy, my personal favorite is track 4 but I put a lot into all of these.

Track 6 is a nod to those wonderful LA mission trips, you people know who you are.

This is a massive reflection on my past, as made obvious by the title, but seriously, if you don't care for it, I don't care that much. I'm showing myself to you, not expecting a huge reaction.

That being said I do truly hope you all enjoy it for what it is. This is the first of much to come, and that's a promise.
