DIFFRACTION
A sigil has been created and cast 
by meditating in adverse conditions 
(very low temperatures, 
 motionless body) 
 in order to enter a state of Gnosis. 

The space has been interwoven, 
from end to end, 
with red cord, 
 anchor points have been established at every column, 
 while reciting the mantra: 
 “No matter how devastating the storm, 
you’ll always have anchor in a safe harbour” 

The cord spool got stuck at several points,  
 making the weaving of the network difficult.

Upon meeting at the centre we completed three figures of Cat’s Cradle, 
destroyed the sigil
and closed the ritual.

The networks we weave, support, protect and unite us.

Cat’s Cradle is a game of making geometrical string figures, 
looped over the fingers 
and stretched between two hands, 
while the figures progress as the string is passed from one person to another. As if speaking and listening 
to each other 
with the fingers
 in alternate moves
 of restriction and freedom,

Cat’s Cradle consists of not only taking over the string, 
but also recasting the pattern
without losing the thread.

The Cat’s Cradle string is an unbroken trail of communication,
a circle of infinite possibilities, 
that diffracts into beautiful patterns.
