Singularity resident and Los Angeles Techno mad man, JNY, joins us for the first ever episode of Tørus Radio, the new mix series from Singularity featuring the freshest heavy techno mixes from the artists that we love.

Welcome back for VOL002 of TØRUS Radio, where each month Singularity Los Angeles features dark, hard, industrial, and experimental Techno artists from around the world. 

This month's featured artist has a mysterious background, coming from the distant outdoor raves of Portugal, where he grew up until he was 19 years old until moving to London, where he spent 6 years honing his craft and absorbing all the electronic music culture he could. Once a part of the electronic group Blare, Miguel has several years of experience as a dance music connoisseur and sound designer and has since expanded to newer fields of music production including collaborations with artists such as Rabbit in the Moon, Gunslinger, as well as starting the Insical project, inspired by his true passions.

Michel Lauriola is a Venezuelan producer and DJ based in Buenos Aires (Argentina). The city's electronic scene has witnessed his evolution over the years, resulting in a very rhythmic and deep techno artist. After 20 years of career, Lauriola has become a well-known producer and has edited for labels such as: Faut Section, Materia, Polegroup / Aine, Gynoid, Children of Tomorrow, Suara, Out of Place, Blackrod, Animal Farm and more.

The ep has already received support from artists such as A Thousand Details, Dimi Angelis, Kangding Ray, Slam, Sven Wittekind, Vinicius Honorio, etc.

RAUXRAUX creates a truly unique: deep, dark, and driving sound that floats between powerful, hard, fast kicks - and the melodic yet ominous textures of the underground.

The moniker “RAUXRAUX”, a homage to Daft Punk, derives from the French spelling and pronunciation “RoRo”. Having an impressive background in animation and VJing, his combination of the two artforms adds a unique audio/visual experience to every performance.

With more than 10 years of experience behind the decks he has redefined his style multiple times but always with one common denominator “Quality music”. Lega prides himself on being a fine curator of music; his sound is always refreshing and cutting edge. In the last couple of years he has been focused on setting his mark as a producer having released Albums, EPs and tracks in big labels such as Diffuse Reality, Pure Hate, Insane Industry, Motech Records and more. He has also dedicated most of his focus to two amazing projects; his label Raw Quarter in which he is bringing forward lots of new talent as well as more seasoned producers and he also owns the AMB Booking Agency who makes possible the tours of many great international artists to South America. Lega without a doubt is one of those household names in the Colombian scene who have helped it grow and become what it is today. Having held events for more than 11 years, being a resident DJ of the legendary club “BAUM” and having recently debuted in the Freedom Festival in Medellin and Festival Estereo Picnic the biggest festivals in Colombia, he is definitely a force to be reckoned with behind the CDJs. 
For such a special set LEGA aka No Intellectual Property has decided to bring us the best of two worlds by gifting us a two hour set that starts with house and builds up to a fine techno proving once again why he is such a respected curator in our music scene.

@sotomusicinfo’s near 10 years in London has given the Venezuelan artist a new lease of life. Immersing herself in the capital’s rich culture from the moment she arrived on these shores, she fell in love with techno music and the experiences that came with it. Several years later she made her DJing debut with the Strange DNA crew, and soon after became resident.

With eclectic influences ranging from hypnotic acid to hardcore industrial, she enjoys adapting to the crowd whilst maintaining her own flair. Not only content with playing, she hosts a monthly show on Bloop Radio and has recently released her debut production.

Grounded podcast number 150 welcomes DJ/Producer Femanyst aka Lady Blacktronika, originally from Northern California but now based in Berlin.

Having first got her start in 1997, Akua Grant began her career by doing vocals for San Jose based DJ, producer and close friend Mattski however it wasn't until 2006 that she began trying her hand at house and techno production.

Under 'Lady Blacktronika' her sound is heavily influenced by the classic elements of old school Chicago & Detroit House music, drawing inspiration from current life experiences and also from her past experiences in the 1990's club scene of The Bay Area, and former hardships of street life in San Jose & Los Angeles. 

However it is under 'Femanyst' that she channels her aggression through a frenetic expression of militant techno individuality with her revered DJ sets pushing a more twisted and unrelenting sound filled with plenty of 90s influenced high octane electronic music.

Having released an EP on Paula Temple’s ‘Noise Manifesto' last year, Femanyst continues to bring her unapologetic sound through her own imprint 'Dark Carousel', with her self-assured approach to gripping and brawling techno bringing a fast paced and fervent flow to the dance floor.
