Singularity resident and Los Angeles Techno mad man, JNY, joins us for the first ever episode of Tørus Radio, the new mix series from Singularity featuring the freshest heavy techno mixes from the artists that we love.

Welcome back for VOL002 of TØRUS Radio, where each month Singularity Los Angeles features dark, hard, industrial, and experimental Techno artists from around the world. 

This month's featured artist has a mysterious background, coming from the distant outdoor raves of Portugal, where he grew up until he was 19 years old until moving to London, where he spent 6 years honing his craft and absorbing all the electronic music culture he could. Once a part of the electronic group Blare, Miguel has several years of experience as a dance music connoisseur and sound designer and has since expanded to newer fields of music production including collaborations with artists such as Rabbit in the Moon, Gunslinger, as well as starting the Insical project, inspired by his true passions.

A mysterious figure with a diverse artistic background who’s influences include; Daft Punk, Inhalt Der Nacht, Hans Zimmer, Slayer, Depeche Mode, and Prince.

RAUXRAUX creates a truly unique: deep, dark, and driving sound that floats between powerful, hard, fast kicks - and the melodic yet ominous textures of the underground.

The moniker “RAUXRAUX”, a homage to Daft Punk, derives from the French spelling and pronunciation “RoRo”. Having an impressive background in animation and VJing, his combination of the two artforms adds a unique audio/visual experience to every performance.

Presenting 'Talk About What,' a unique musical creation born from deep emotions surrounding the Gaza crisis. As a half-Palestinian, I've channeled my dark feelings into this piece, using war-inspired sounds and an impactful excerpt from Ghassan Kanafani's interview.

This isn't a dance track; it's a collectible art piece. At 2:06, I've sampled the actual rocket that hit Ahli Hospital, killing 500+ innocent civilians, including three of my family members.

Miguel Azevedo A.K.A. Insical has an elusive background, coming from the distant outdoor raves of Portugal, where he grew up until 19 years of age. And from the basements and clubs of London, where he spent 6 years studying and absorbing all the electronic music culture he could to hone his craft. He moved to Los Angeles in 2017 to pursue a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, working as a composer, sound designer and engineer, which includes a collaboration with the legendary band, Rabbit In The Moon and working full-time for Insomniac Events' media department.

Insical's first release was in 2020 with "Rift EP" on Minimal Sessions, whose title track was picked up by none other than Charlotte de Witte and memorialized on her pandemic-era livestream with Enrico Sangiuliano. After a second release, "Reign" with AudioBloc, Insical went on a 3 hiatus to focus on other projects such as producing for singer-songwriters among other endeavors. In 2024 he's back with his first release since 2021, out August 14th on CMND CTRL Recordings from Miami, with more releases for other labels in the works.

Paul Siebzehn is a talented electronic music artist originally from Naples. Starting at the age of 14, he began
to explore his passion for music by mixing his first records and debuting his first live performances at just 16 in
small parties. Over time, he has continued to evolve and test his skills in bigger and bigger clubs.
After years of dedication and hard work, he began to obtain his first cultural satisfactions and to increasingly
develop his skills and his passion for music. He therefore decides to create his own label “This is hard
generation”, to share his unique vision of futuristic techno with “Hard” rhythms influenced by dark and
industrial sounds, with a modular and mechanical sound.

Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio - JNY's unique and experimental sound is the result of a life long journey with a variety of musical influences, resulting in a style that is mysterious and unafraid of crossing boundaries. His sound can only be described as an un assuming balance between the intense, dark, and mysterious sides of techno, combining crushing cosmic atmosphere with a hard techno/ industrial edge. Having played alongside such notable acts as 999999999, WNDRLST, VIl Circle, Axkan, WarinD, Duellist, Dahryl, Kill Your Idols, and so many more. JNY is a contributor with the la -based techno collective singularity, host of the mix series podcast TØRUS Radio (Singularity), and creator of lahardtechno.com. JNY has made recent notable appearances and contributions to the events created by legendary producers: WORK Presents, Technosnobs AZ and Aftertraxx, and Insomniac. As an artist, event producer, and content creator, JNY has quickly become a staple of the LA underground hard techno movement and has a promising future in the scene.
