After releasing label co-founder Willy Parker's "Back from Death" EP in August of 2020, Frankfurt-based music and arts imprint SOPTIK is back with the first installment of their new VA series "Selected Tracks", out on December 4th and available on all platforms including Beatport, Spotify and Bandcamp.

The compilation of 11 unique and original productions showcases the label´s resilient diversity of both roster and sound, cautiously balancing modern Techno varieties with more analogue and experimental vibes. Ranging from percussive and evolving soundscapes of tracks like Confusion´s "Disparity" or "Y'All Got Problems" by Houston Stiller to the more synth-driven and progressive nature of pieces like Decka´s "Unheard" or Norberto Lusso´s "Olliphane", the EP covers multiple symphonic and rhythmic facets of the genre on a diverse Bpm spectrum - all while maintaining a clear and coherent aural aesthetic.

Through its seamless fusion of airy pads, subtle drums and increasingly distorted and modulated basslines, the opening track "The New Normal", contributed by Unknown Movements label owner Other Form from Bristol UK, introduces the central focus on complex grooves and the evocative, gloomy atmosphere present throughout the release. Previous collaborative efforts between the two imprints resulted in the early 2020 publication of "Coping Strategies for Progressive Persuasions" on eight-inch tape, featuring original tracks by Willy Parker, Vlaeminck and Decka.

Contrasting more delicate and downscaled pieces by Hych, Senh and Vlaeminck, tracks like "News in Sport" or "A Light Emerge From The Ground" by label debutants Stefan Czech and Messiahwaits exemplify the more dancefloor-focused, fast-paced side of the EP. The final track, "Alzirr" by Willy Parker, concludes the release by merging distinct atmospherical themes, a sizzling high- and a commanding low-end.

With the creation of the „Selected Tracks“ series, the young label intends to incorporate a network of both upcoming and established artists and musicians who reflect and refine the SOPTIK sound. Follow @soptik_ on social media for updates on upcoming releases and events!

Olēka isn’t new to the label, in fact he was included on the first V.A. EP on Krachtvoer under his alias Forest People and was featured on the latest EP with his Olēka remix of Kaylah’s ‘Possesor’.

Seeped in Olēka's trademark sound the tracks ‘Ifrit’, ‘Fuscous’ and ‘Deasil’ combine rough industrial atmospheres with hard broken beats.

Remix duties befall CYNKT and Krachtvoer head honcho Kracht. CYNKT’s remix of ‘Ifrit’ honors the broken beat vibes of the original tracks but with a twist. The track takes you on a intense journey which culminates in a big four-to-the-floor drop making you wish the clubs were open again.

Kracht’s remix of ‘Fuscous’ hits you smack in the face, twisting Olēka’s rough industrial atmospheres into a rolling dirty techno track.

@dj-lady-maru started producing music in 1994 with an electric guitar, some toy percussions and a tascam 4 track recorder. She becomes quickly active as a noise guitarist and casio player for post punk and new wave bands.
Lady Maru´s DJ career started DJing in 2003 at Metaverso a small roman "cult" club and at underground raves and parties trying to combine 2 influences: post punk and techno. Her actual sound as a producer and as a DJ is mostly based on acidtechno with industrial and ebm influences.

Emmy Betiol has a musical carrer that was built over 20 years of experience, permeating different concepts, which allowed her to create an original musical identity.

Her performances are marked by a strong presence, through Techno Dark and Hypnotic, leading to an atmospheric and sophisticated journey, oscillating between percussive and industrial tones. In her performance Emmy presents the purest mixing technique, leading to a remarkable Expressionism.

Resident DJ of the Terraza club since 2014, a club that is a reference in the electronic scene in Brazil, located in Florianópolis / SC. Collect memorable performances alongside DJs / producers from different cultures in Brazil and the world.

She is co-founder of the PHOBIA PROJECT group, a label that contributes to the cultural movement in the southern region of Brazil, with a focus on Dark / Hard and Industrial Techno with the proposal of promoting the music, the concept and freedom of audio / visual expression.
Throughout her career she has always been in complete sync with the underground scene in a determined and persistent way, contributing and disseminating ideas for the development and artistic, cultural and musical evolution of his region.

Since 2009 she lives in Blumenau / SC / Brazil, where she divides her time between djing, design, video editing, event production, in addition to his consolidated career as a fashion designer.

In 2020, she signed a partnership with the Spanish collective @SoundJockeyES with the objective of promoting her music and contributing to other cultures of different nationalities.

We are hereby thrilled to present “Every Human Is An Enemy” by E.L.I.A.S ( @eliaswaves )a young Italian producer that made his way into the scene with great sounds and providing a number of huge tracks both alone and with his Distorted Planet duo project. His approach in techno is effective and open minded, giving space and dynamic to his tracks, aswel as power and hard, pounding rhythm. The four originals are diverse, telling different stories and but being yet connected by a very thin and strong line. On remix duty we have two very special guests that need not much of an introduction, Ectoplasm ( @ectoplasmmusic ), back on SG hammering his take with dark ambiences and hard hitting drums and finally Keepsakes ( @keepsakes ), who need even less introductions, providing a Class - A raw take while skilfully playing with drums and groove.
