Outtake from the new Sinkcharmer EP "Sit Up Straight".  This song didn't quite fit with the new EP I was making and the new version wasn't appreciably different or better than the original, so it's straight to Soundcloud with this one.

Sit Up Straight EP to be released 1/1/2018 on all the streaming services. Will be available 12/27/2017 on Bandcamp (and probably Soundcloud).

This song originally appeared on "Stars in Winter" and conceived as a somewhat frustrated love song from my father (who had just died from complications due to MS) to my mother. Still hard to think about it.

All of the references to communication issues ("Talking back at everyone through a cardboard box") are direct references to the Multiple Sclerosis and the way it ravaged his ability to communicate. It ends on an optimistic/profoundly sad note..."I hope to see you soon."  

Crying as I type this, but if you want context for the seemingly opaque lyrics, this is it.
