Skrimor is a name that has been making waves since his debut release in 2023. Within a year, he had released music on renowned labels such as Eatbrain, C4C, and Neuropunk, while also remixing notable acts like Gydra and Teddy Killerz. His exceptional talent quickly drew the attention of the artist-run label collective - Evolution Chamber.

Starting with his entry to the label through the Transmissions series, followed by his highly successful debut release, Boogie Woogie/Club Girl, and his follow-up single, Purple Toe, the Polish stalwart has firmly established himself as a core member of the imprint. Ending 2024 on a high note, he kicked off 2025 with his debut release ‘Shatter/Black Strings’ on Blackout, marking the beginning of an incredibly stacked release schedule for the year ahead.

Few names resonate as strongly as Kryptomedic. With over a decade of releases on leading labels such as Blackout, Eatbrain, and Bad Taste, as well as collaborations with renowned artists like State of Mind, Agressor Bunx, Maztek, and Mindscape, he now joins forces with Skrimor to present his milestone 100th career release and their brand-new single, ‘Animals.’

This isn’t a hymn or a museum quote—it’s a manual for reckoning written in bass. Verzor drags the “day of wrath” into the present club hour: the sub as heavy gravity, dry percussion as a march of accusation, micro-syncopations as system glitches where truth breaks through the grid. Piece by piece the EP tightens the bolts: first a metallic minimalism with forensic precision, then breath-wide dropouts, off-axis accents, razor-edged technoid lines. The music doesn’t decorate. It demonstrates.

The leitmotif is blunt: order holds only until rhythm stops cooperating with it. “Dies Irae” doesn’t soothe the floor; it presents the bill and leaves you a beat short of air. This is Paperfunk in working mode—no grand speeches, concentrated force. An EP about the end of self-deception and the start of clarity.

Skulking through the shadows underneath the city streets was a horrendous beast, an amalgamation of once human flesh that had been absorbed from those discarded and forgotten on the streets above. In time, the last vestiges of these individuals vengeful will had sought each other out, infusing in their rotten remains a revenant power that sought revenge on those by whom they had been slain. With each corpse that their combined form came across the monster grew in might, and with each killer that they slew in vengeance they found within themselves a spark of arcane power restored to their being.

It was thus that they now held in thrall before their combined visage one who had slain many of their ilk, a prolific killer in his own right now paralysed in their grasp. From within their many-toothed maw shone a pale red light, hypnotic and enwrapturing for any to whom it shone. The light’s allure drew them in, unsuspecting, before the beast’s horrific embrace consumed them in a furious feast vengeful rage. Thus it was known that for all those who drew blood on the streets of the city above, the DEADLIGHT lurking below was to be their destined end.

DROPSET returns to EATBRAIN with his debut EP, DEADLIGHTS, and unveils four hypnotically horrifying tracks for the ears of the EATBRAIN horde.
