This track has been a work in progress for Nick and I over quite some time. The delay is really on me, but we are both pleased with the final outcome and hope you all are too! 

This is our second collaboration and surely not the last. I look forward to further explorations together. It is always a privilege to work with him. A great talent and gentle person.

Nick provided the music, the photo, and essential concepts in my words; I am so very grateful for that.

Wasting my time looking for what isn't there
Where did I go?
I don't remember me anymore
Where have I been?
On the outside looking in
What lies beneath?
Take me to the in between, let me see inside and out
Show me the truth
Who I am 
For now I am trapped within
Afraid to see myself from the other side
Frightened
Stilled by fear of a future unknown 
Static, I am paralyzed 
Either in or out, never whole 
I am divided
Split…in two
Heart and mind may never meet
I know who I was
Who I used to be, but here and now there is no me
Thoughts, feelings forever bound and never free 
The two must be one, to walk together 
Neither alone

Illuminate the darkness 
Light the path…the way

Weave the two that are rent
Seeing myself in parts, each is clear
Lessons to learn 
Looking out from within
Phantom feelings floating free
Haunting me
They must be captured, tamed, commanded solely by me

Uncharted, feared, shunned 
Mirrors opposite one another
I can see only one at a time 
I glance to the left, I glance to the right
Only reflections of the me I’ll never see
