Helmed by two longstanding legends of the scene, our next installment pays tribute to the Benelux techno connection as we welcome Dutch maestro Steve Rachmad under his Sterac alias and Token boss Kr!z to the fold. Each contributing a brace of the typically elegant hard-hitters they’ve become so widely reputed for, the pair has us swinging in balance between proper floor-destroying potency and mind-expanding otherworldliness. A homage to the uncluttered and beautifully escapistic vision they’ve advocated throughout their career and continue to push in their various endeavors, RYCL019 is a feast for the purists as much as a compellingly future-facing manifesto: classic in essence but vanguard in its quest.

Holding the reins of the A side, Rachmad gets the ball rolling pedal to the metal. ‘Muff Case’ is genotypic Sterac material with its surgical uptempo groove and malleable analogue membranes leaning against a sci-fi-indebted scenario. Twisting gridlocked 4x4 semantics whilst his trademark machine funk runs the voodoo down in euphoric style, the Amsterdam-based magician has us hanging onto each bar’s end as we’d be watching a thriller: eager and excited for the next shift of gears. A deluge of chromatic arps and subtle chord distortions agitate the sleek surface of ’Strike Icer’ - a euphorically effervescing and inch-perfectly built slice of liquid-like techno pyrotechnics, congealed into something of a classic for the future ahead. Lovers of Rachmad’s precise yet richly-hued blends shall rejoice, for the Dutch producer flexes the refined brilliance and implacable relevancy of his sound in an epoch not so highly regarded for its risk-taking, soul-searching qualities.

Cross the other side and here’s Belgian techno don Kr!z laying it down badman style. True to its name, ’Sorcerer’ is a spell of unrelenting techno boggle, tailored to withstand the heaviest DJ use without losing any of its punishing grit. As blunt synth arpeggios keep looping in and out of focus, from sub-end depths to foreground in-your-face’ness, Kr!z harnesses a wild bassy storm, inbound for total floor obliteration. Shifting the angle onto deeper envelope fine-tuning and lysergic mind-games, ‘Lightworks’ fuses a sense of weird acid sensuality with the incisiveness of crisp drum patterns and bass-heavy aggression. Shining through the squelchy layers of FX-laden baselines, Kr!z’s emphasis on textural interplays and rhythmic overlaps blazes to further devastating effect.

Axel understands techno as a slow and authentic journey. This ideology is something he aims to convey in his future productions, which we will be able to see soon.

In his sets, rhythm and textures combine to create soundscapes that range from the most tribal pulse to the most robotic detail. Each session is born from the moment, from listening to the audience and the space, always seeking balance and coherence.

His sound is controlled energy, capable of generating connection without losing naturalness or strength.

It is both a pleasure and an honor for us to have him as a guest in this series.

We are glad to introduce you this Bandcamp exclusive release available on pre-order vinyl and digital, from label owner Oscar Mulero, offering us four cuts of precise and expertly crafted techno.

Transparent ray relies on a cosmic sequenced line, growing and evolving over a dry kick drum while additional percussive layers run on top. Solarized starts with a solid groove and gated synth sounds that change in shape as the minutes go. Liquid but raw at the same time.

Opposite is built upon an asymmetrical beat combining digital bleeps and filtered 808 snares spiced with delays and reverbs, a mixing tool in essence.
As a digital bonus track, Generator, fat bass drums, continuous percussive components in various layers, plus occasional synth action. 

Four cuts that interacts one with each other, made to be combined, frequency melted in expert dj sets.

The label’s latest tracks have been featured on leading radio stations like Ibiza Global Radio, Proton Radio, Danceradioglobal.com, Loca FM Spain, Sweatlodge Radio & Radio 1 Czec Republic. 
 
Sintetics Digital was created in 2008 by Barcelona-based DJ & Producer Javi Lago, and the label seeks to influence electronic music lovers by defining a new logical, funky sound that continually pushes boundaries and is without imitation. The sound has been built around an emerging group of elite producers from Barcelona and collaborations with contemporary international artists, all of whom have earned critical acclaim and support for their tracks.  The group includes Ludovic Vendi, Polygon, Superferric, Pablo Akaros, Holgi Star, Holger Flinch, Platform & Ciclofans.
 
2011 was an important year for the label, with releases and remixes from some of the industry’s top names. The first release tlast year was Superferric Gebraten und Gebacken featuring a remix by Resopal Schallware’s Stephan Leib as MRI for example.  The latest release, Aurora Crew’s Noctambulos EP, sees the title track remixed by top techno producer DJinxx.  Javi Lago & Ivan Komlinovic are set to release some new material over the summer months, including remixes from artists like Devilfish (Bush Records)
 
Over the last three years, Sintetics has hosted label nights with international guest DJs such as; Len Faki, Peter Horrevorts, Pär Grindvik, Raudive, Secret Cinema, Marcel Dettman, Ben Klock, Deetron & Tony Rohr in Catalonia’s coolest clubs like Row14, La Cova, Florida135 and BeCool in Barcelona.
