Serving up hypnotic atmospheres that delivers a driving tune full of futuristic sounds, alongside heavy hitting with roaring mid-bassline modulations layered over a healthy bed of crunchy breaks. This is deep yet rugged.

Mystical atmospheric elements build into sharp high energy drum patterns with growling basslines and ominous FX hits. This one has all sorts of hidden depths and tons of detail.

Featuring Shimmering sci-fi synth designs, high energy drum pattern and more than enough bass, that delivers a sublime tech groove powered by sharpened percussion and warping bass. This one is dark and full of subtle touches.

Octopods are one of earth’s most intriguing inhabitants. They come in many shapes and sizes, they’re skilful hunters and the ultimate masters of disguise. They can squeeze into seemingly impossible tiny spaces, instantly change colour and texture to camouflage themselves, or even mimic other creatures like aquatic shapeshifters. Octopuses’ survival is threatened by human fishing activity - overfishing means there’s less prey for them to eat, and they’re often accidentally killed in trawler nets. Since its first release, DLR’s Sofa Sound has firmly solidified itself, proving that they’re set to continue the growth of their spearheading roster. Whether it’s the artists who’ve previously collaborated with DLR on other, more-longstanding independents, or the producers who DLR has personally picked from the Sofa Sound demos box, there’s already been a high calibre of tracks unleashed on the imprint. And with their next digital single in the pipeline, their growth remains unstoppable, proving that their initial groundbreaking commitment is still being adhered to. 
Forthcoming from Sofa Sound is the brand new release from Dub Head; inherently underground, the Ukrainian based producer has already made his mark on imprints like Ant TC1’s Dispatch Recordings. ‘Meltdown’ and ‘Space Worm’ are technically brilliant and prove why Dub Head is such a coveted addition to the likes of Sofa Sound and Dispatch Recordings. The A-side ‘Meltdown’ is a heavily percussive roller, with clanking drums, tinkering hi-hats and floating note sequences which add to the lulling atmospherics of its introduction. But when the record finally breaks, cold pads and Dub Head’s signature funky bassline takes you to a much lower frequency. Minimalist yet throbbing with power, Dub Head shows that you don’t need to bow to commercial viability to make a resounding impact. 
On the reverse, you’re taken into ‘Space Worm’. Dub Head promises to continue his assault, providing another record which is effortless in its complexity whilst wrapping the listener around its thumping bassline. Hollowed snares and crackling instrumentals interfere with the composition like static, as the record slowly begins to unfold segment by segment. Its more distorted elements add a jutting layer, providing a siren like-feel on top of its heavy breakdown, providing another undeniably weighty release from Sofa Sound.
