I wrote this back in 1993 and banged it together on a 4 track and a 12 string before inviting a friend along to add some bass. It was after hearing my attempts at production I decided I wouldn't be producing anything again, but not before I had also finished the other 10 tracks I had written. 
Be interested in feedback from people - I'm coming around to thinking about writing and recording again...

Cult of 1000 Sinners

This was the first song I both wrote and recorded in this session - lyrically, I love this piece of work, but I could never play it like this and sing it at the same time. More practice was the solution but I was more concerned with the actual songs than being able to recreate them in isolation. Feedback appreciated but like I said before.. be gentle.

Totems in the Wind

This song ended up being bigger than my talent at the time and it always made me over emotional because of what it was about. In hindsight, it was capable of a lot more, but the bones are there. That's why producers across the world still have jobs. As with all of these songs, there's a great backstory to the lyrics. 
The more of these songs I upload, the more I want to go back into a real studio and work on them with somebody who knows what they are doing.

Summer Half

This was written almost live from an idea lying around on the floor. The lyrics came equally as fast - originally just to have something to work with but when it was all put together, it had the semblance of a song that might work itself into something quite cool one day. Alas, it never got revisited but the old cogs are working now...

I'm a writer of words now, but twenty odd years ago, I was determined to make it as a rock star... everybody here must have felt that way at some point. Anyway, I recorded a 12 track demo album on a four track piece of crap with just a 12 string and a friend who came along sporadically to load some bass onto it. The first thing I learned was that I am no producer. The second thing I learned was that maybe I am pretty good as a songwriter. Recently been considering going back into the studio and doing this properly, so thought I would load some material up here and see what the feedback was like - mostly from the songs perspective, Be gentle...
