 back with a new track off his soon to come project "14TH BABY" dropping in mid August! With visuals from Ohio's very own @LunarThought and production from Germantown native @_JPatton the trio each did what they do best and gave us the outcome to which we now know as "CHESS NOT CHECKERS". From the lyrics SIOUX uses, to the unique delivery of his raps itself, SIOUX seems to paint a picture of struggle, progress, God and pain. Shouting out his daughter stating "Your blessings on my daughter, she's the reason I go harder". "Your" being God. The first thing you hear when the song starts is the high pitched guitar chords that immediately sets the tone of the track. Followed with Drums and 808s, Jack accompanies the tone of the vocals with soulful sounding production that gives the song almost a R&B feel. All coming together in a tour-like video, Lunar does an amazing job capturing the meaning of the song. From the back alleys to the streets of Middletown, OH, Lunar pinpoints the vibe, and delivers a video that coexists with the lyrics and production. A trio worth listening to more of.
