I wrote this song because in life we sometimes fight with the ones we love. Go through a divorce or worse. This song is when you realise that you can only do so much. It’s a 2 way street and sometimes you have to let people go. Don’t be sorry when deep down you aren’t sorry, and for good reason.

I saw John Butler the 1st time when no one knew him, but in Australia he was rising quickly! This is the 1st song he played live ‘Betterman’. So I worked it out on a 6 string in normal tuning with no slide. In a nutshell here is my tribute the very talented man John Butler so that others can learn and play this song too, because it’s SO much fun to play!!

I broke my spine when I was 36 years old. I had to have rods implanted along majority of my spine. I live in chronic pain. But it's physical. So it made me think how many people out there just suffer? Emotionally, mentally and physically. People with PTSD from war GOD BLESS YOU ALL! People who have lost a child, husband, wife, brother, sister or best friend. All that pain never seems to leave. So I wrote this for everyone in pain.... may it ease one day...
