Washington DC emcee Sir Aah is a veteran in every sense of the word and has lived what many artists only speak about. With over 20 years of experience under his belt, Aah’s journey has been one of perseverance. Never one to chase clout, never one in the pursuit of fame, “I truly love what I’m doing,” Sir Aah says. Over the course of his tenure, Sir Aah has linked with the likes of Royce Da 5’9, Pusha T and other heavyweights and garnered Press from some of the world’s top publications. As 2020 comes to a close, Sir Aah plans to release his debut album “The Gift” a culmination of everything Sir Aah’s done up to this point. 

Aah’s journey started unlike most artists, his parents weren't big on music, but Aah’s obsession with hip-hop started at a young age. “My first hip hop moment after MC Hammer, was hearing Rakim in 1992,” Sir Aah recalls, “and then buying Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle album as a very young kid.” From that point on, Sir Aah dived into the hip hop rabbit hole listening to artists like A Tribe Called Quest, Ice Cube and the like. Honestly Sir Aah, had a fuel and passion for the artform studying multiple acts that we don't see anymore “I was the guy in high school who bought every album, I would save my lunch money, buy an album every week, make a mixtape then sell it in school,” Sir Aah says. All of this comes together to flesh out the emcee and artist Sir Aah would become moving forward. 

While definitely inspired by everything 90’s hip hop had to offer, everything Sir Aah presents is uniquely his own. The minute you press play on a track, Aah’s deep voice and sharp delivery is guaranteed to grab your attention. On one hand, Aah comes with poetic lyricism in every track he drops but it’s more than that for the DC emcee. “I want to touch on things that matter, all my colleagues are driving fancy cars and living lavishly,” Aah says, “but I chose to buy a Toyota and pay it off in 9 months. I’m blessed to be financially stable, I would like to touch on that message in my music soon.” Sir Aah seeks to educate the audience in ways that are missed in today’s society whether in financial stability or compound interest Aah wants to provide game to the youth. 

Now over the course of his life Sir Aah put building a life with his family before the music, with no regrets. In 2019 Aah got his CIO Certificate of Education from the National Defense University the same week Nipsey Hussle passed which is important because the two worked together. “I still want to help his team with Vector 90 because it is a valuable and profitable skill,” Aah says. Sir Aah has taken all his experience and studying as an artist and others have noticed. With over 200 songs under his belt, the DC artist has worked with No Malice, Yukmouth, Royce Da 5’9 and other critically acclaimed artists and went toe to toe with them. Further his music has received coverage from BBC, NahRight and other pertinent outlets. After taking a break to focus on his family, Sir Aah is back and getting set to release his debut album “The Gift” in November and after that working on his sophomore effort.
