‘Amazon’ is the first single off of Siren and the Sea’s debut record, ‘This Time With Feeling’ (coming out on February 17, 2017), in which she develops a world of seemingly underwater and other worldly symphonies highlighted by lush vocals, rich sculpted synthesizers, bass by Zachary Domer, pedal steel and baritone guitar by Erik Clampitt (Hook and Anchor),harmonies by Stephanie Woods, and electronic drums. ‘This Time With Feeling’ was recorded and produced with Johann Wagner at Pinewave Studio in 2015, mixed at A/D Agency Recording with Karl Kling (RAC), and mastered by Justin Longerbeam (Eyrst). 
‘Amazon’ begins with the sampled field-recordings of bird calls mirrored with the ethereal layering of sweeping background vocals. It is an emotive yet restrained textural sonic jungle of steady bass grooves, synth, and sultry vocals. Amazon comes out on all digital distribution platforms on December 2nd, 2016.

Cristina Cano is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter dedicated to crafting vibrant melodic soundscapes, as well as engaging intimate and vulnerable experiences through performance. She has toured internationally playing keyboard for Sallie Ford, Albatross, and various artists. Siren and the Sea was formed in 2010 as her personal songwriting project. “Siren and the Sea has a way with honest music. Cristina Cano's voice, haunting and unflinching, walks from song to song with the self possessed confidence that comforts you as uninhibited lyrics escape her lips.”-(The Deli Mag). Siren and the Sea has since developed into a 5-piece indie electro-pop band with folk undertones.
