Turbo Recordings is proud to present a release a full year in the making. A&R’d by Turbo Elder Thomas Von Party, Gender embodies the adventurous spirit of his own Multi Culti label, and marks a return to the kind of mega remix pack we used to make when the world was young and an alternate dub rework was all you needed to get by. 

Germany’s Skinnerbox sets the template with a high-speed jungle rave banger, which is an accurate enough description but not something we would expect you to ever repeat out loud. The 12-inch also features versions by Swedish nice guy Axel Boman, who missed the submission deadline by 13 minutes but still managed to turn in a 12-minute epic jam, and Glasgow’s Auntie Flo, who somehow harnessed the siren song of the iPhone with a marimba-heavy mix.  

As a digital bonus, we’ve included a massive trance weapon from Berlin legend Ellen Allien, with the understanding that you will spend the time it takes to download to reflect as hard as you can on the importance of equality and respect. All we are saying is give thinking what we tell you to think a chance.

Nathan Micay aka Bwana is gearing up for what promises to be a very busy summer. Earlier this year he launched a vinyl-only label called Schvitz Edits, and the first 12" featured his own unexpected dancefloor edits of Dr. John and Canadian folk singer Gordon Lightfoot.

Out 26th May, the second release finds some of Nathan's friends joining the fun. We're premiering the flip - Glasgow favourite Perko's take on Brazilian bossa nova legend Sergio Mendes' 'Magalenha'. Yöurr(@yourrmusic) arrives to WAYU Records with the "The Healer" EP.

A beautiful, positive, afro infused release that takes us into the ups and downs of musical emotions.

This EP, although different in the sense of musical colors and environments created among the 3 original tracks, has a common denominator; which is the unique jumpy rhythmic style that fully belongs to the Hungarian producer. It is important to point out that Yöurr uses arpeggios as rhythmic backgrounds, instead of making them the main idea, accomplishing a very playful and bright sounding project.

We also welcome back 2 artists previously released on WAYU Records. Aetius Boutefoy and Geist. Both producers gifting us with unique remixes true to their sound, but at the same time showcasing the ideas from the original mixes.
