Rouse Music Group launch the counterpart to their management group, Rouse Records, with an outstanding new EP from the legend Roy Davis Jr, “Take You There”, featuring the vocals of J.R. Jordan, with the perfect blend of acid, soul and groove.

The EP features a remix from DJ Spank, one-third of the iconic Phuture group with DJ Pierre & Herb J, known as the founders of Acid House. Rounding out the package is a remix from Chicago's Gene Farris, whose had a banner year with his collaborations with Cajmere and numerous top selling singles.

Rouse Music Group is a booking and management company based in San Francisco representing masters of their craft and specializing in the underground sound, including Wally Callerio (Pancho Warwick), Paul Johnson, Gene Hunt, Whitenoize, Gene Farris, and Cappa Regime.

Presenting his long awaited full-length album, the king of disco re-edits Dr Packer graces Glitterbox Recordings with six brand new mixes alongside twelve of his rare cuts and well-loved treasures. Dr Packer’s Different Strokes features Dr Packer versions of soulful house favourites, disco standards and groove-laden floorfillers. Following two DJ mixes from Dr Packer featuring bonus tracks, the album kicks off with a bonafide classic. Dr Packer’s take on Soulsearcher’s ‘Can’t Get Enough!’ maintains all its most iconic elements, the euphoric vocals and timeless groove given a fresh-sounding elasticity. Another highlight and an album exclusive, ‘Big Love’ from Peter Heller’s Big Love is brim full of Dr Packer’s unmistakeable warmth, cowbell accents giving the groove some bump. THE POINTER SISTERS - DARE ME (KIBOU Remix)

2019 was a busy year for 84bit, a producer who released a mixture of deep house and nu-disco jams on a variety of largely digital-only labels. "Mamma Jamma" is his debut for Disco Fruit and features a number of notable cuts. Chief amongst these is the title track, a bustling, bass-heavy chunk of booming disco-house that's subsequently taken in a funkier direction by the ubiquitous Dr Packer, Hotmood and Tonbe, whose fine revision is looser, warmer and baggier. The EP also boasts two versions of "HN": an electric piano-laden original mix that expertly joins the dots between elecro, funk breaks and disco-funk, and a bubbly nu-disco revision by label regular Mitko.
