KWAKE delivers a groove-driven breakbeat stomper for the 22nd edition of our Free Fuel series. 

Originally coming up in Sheffield’s music scene playing dub and jungle, KWAKE changed tack a few years ago to become a more diverse DJ and producer, covering a wider range of genres from acid house to electro, breaks and beyond. His sound draws inspiration from his long-time love of early 90s hardcore and techno, combined with an obsession for hardware commonly associated with that era.

A regular on the City’s club circuit, past shows have included support slots for the likes of DJ Stingray 313, Altern8 and Chaos in the CBD. He also hosts a monthly show on Mondo Radio and frequently collaborates with other Sheffield-based DJs both in and out of the studio.

Stockholm based electronic music artist Megra returns with the release of "I Stay," the first track from his highly anticipated second project 2:M. Known for his dynamic blend of melodic beats and haunting synth-driven soundscapes, Megra’s latest single sets the tone for a darker, more refined chapter in his evolving but instantly recognisable sound.

He knew that not answering wouldn't help him in the long run, but right now he couldn't face it. He would continue to live by the notion that what he didn't know couldn't hurt him.

Manchester party Off Beat make their first steps into the label world, launching a new platform to share their love of UK bass culture. For the inaugural outing, they've enlisted the talents of Breaka who's previous releases for Desert Sound Colony's Holding Hands, his own Breaka Recordings and Leeds' Stretchy Dance Supply have caused quite a stir since 2018. Titled The Startup, the two-tracker moves from UK bass grooves and warm subs on the A Side to jungle-inspired breaks on the flip; a perfect indicator of what we can expect from the newly-founded imprint in future.

Each album contains 33 tracks, written during a focused three-year burst after two decades of building production skills. Some tracks are released individually, others as trios, depending on the vibe and timing.

The 333 Project is equal parts instinct and intention — sacred numbers, detailed mixes, and a commitment to feel over formula.
