We’ve been supporters of TWRK since their beginnings so it only seemed right to sweep up their first EP. “Helicopter” is one step ahead of their biggest tune to date, “Badinga.” It’s got a vocal drop that makes panties drop and that’s all that you need to know. “Dump It” is a different type of tune for TWRK. It definitely carries that sound but it also boasts a certain type of emotion with more melody and chords than they usually give us. But don't worry, its still about that booty. After chord life, the boys hit up New Orleans by way of Winnipeg on their collab with Lambo and Fly Boy Keno. “Make It Bounce” is a futuristic nola bounce record that has a global appeal. Finishing off the EP is “Spring Break”, the anthem we dropped back in February on everyone, and it's been on steady rotation even after all the frat boys and girls left the beach.

I found this on an old CD of Hedrock Valley Beats material I dug out of my parents garage.  I was always kinda sad this never found a release and when we did actually try to press-up copies onto Whitelabel way back in 2000, they all where distorted, so we decided not to run with them.  

This was one of my favorite Hedrock Valley Beats tracks because of the sample in the breakdown is from one of my favorite movies.

Thats the original artwork too that was for put forward by Infectious Records for the release!

Not just wanting to be another DJ, he has also been building a reputation as a 'must see' live act, as Decky has brought a blistering live show to the clubs and festivals yet again proving his lineage. Playing a select number of gigs initially testing the waters and then having been asked back to play those venues again due to public demand solidifies that. Coming from a live background based around performances with keyboards, samplers and other electronic gadgetry gives an advantage over a scene which is made up of DJs.

So, after all that we still have not found out what the name means?   “Essentially, its the combination of Norwegian and Latvian spelling for the famous ‘Circus Circus’ hotel in Las Vegas.  I liked the idea of naming myself after the hotel there but wanted it to look different, in some weird way.  So I thought of the different phonetical ways to spell “circus” and I also liked the notion of how these new spellings translated into different languages.  In fact, looking back I don’t think I could actually spell the name correctly myself for about 2 weeks, after coming up with it!” laughs Decky.
