I loved this record and every time I heard it on the radio it spoke to my soul. It was as though I knew the woman Kevin Ross was singing about. Not only did I know her but I felt as though I dated her & she reminded me of a love I know...and that love reminded me of The character from the TV show "Being Mary Jane". I feel many men can relate to encountering a "Mary Jane" & many women can relate to being "Mary Jane". The Ballot or the Bullet was one of Malcolm X’s last speeches, which was delivered in Cleveland Ohio on April 3rd, 1964. The primary goal of the speech was to create awareness to the people of their political power. Casting their ballot was like putting a bullet into a target. Therefore the real power was in the people casting the ballot by putting their power into an agenda or in other words, firing a bullet at a target. Picture this: your passion and drive are your bullets and you can fire whenever you choose to. One of the problems is that many times people either are afraid to fire or just have bad aim. However. If we never aim and fire at our targets then we will never have a chance at hitting them. You are the bullet, what’s your target?"

It is said that after the rain there lies the sun waiting to shine behind the clouds. With every loss there is a gain and with every death there is creation. 

This is a story about a father whose mother is on the stairway to heaven while his estranged daughter is awaiting the birth of new life.

 It's hard to see triumph in tragedy and it's even more increasingly difficult to remain positive in our heart while going through the storms of life, however keep in my that we are being strengthen. We are being strengthened to carry heavier blessings and the pain of the rain is simply our mental conditioning. Let us not simply make it through adversity, but seize it, act upon it. grow from it and learn from it.

"On Friday, October 27th, 2006, my mother died from a massive stroke. I still remember the last time I saw her face, as she dropped me off
at the Greyhound bus station to embark on a journey to grow my music career. After a year of grieving and coping, I embarked on a different journey, a journey to further my education. Before I completed this
program, I would be greeted with more devastating news when my sister, Tamika, died at the age of 33. In 2007, I woke up one morning andI was 505 pounds.Those were by far the toughest moments I have ever endured thus far in my life. However, after overcoming those traumatic events and losing over 250 Pounds my objective is to inspire, empower and motivate individuals who are striving to overcome their own issues while using music as a conduit. You got the juice! the question is what are you going to do with it?" - SIR
