Returning to Purified Records, Russian duo Garlington present their evocative ‘Chasing The Moment’ EP. Opening with ‘Remorse’, they set a reflective mood with emotive melodies and a subtly grooving rhythm, building a rich sense of depth and atmosphere. ‘Weightless’ follows with a lighter touch - blending crisp percussion, airy textures, and luminous piano chords into an elegant indie dance moment. Closing the EP, the title track ‘Chasing The Moment’ delivers a dreamlike journey through flowing synth lines and immersive soundscapes, striking a perfect balance between serenity and drive. A showcase of Garlington’s evolving sonic identity, this three-track release reinforces their place as a distinctive voice on the label.

Taken by Rachel Moore, the ‘Chasing The Moment’ EP artwork features waves crashing on a barrier reef on the island of Mo’orea, French Polynesia. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.

French Polynesia is home to one of the world’s largest and most remote marine protected areas. Pew Bertarelli Ocean Legacy (https://www.pew-bertarelli-ocean-legacy.org/en) has been instrumental in supporting this achievement, partnering with local communities and governments to establish and manage large-scale ocean sanctuaries.

Making his debut on Purified Records, Aplexo unveils his striking two-track ‘Faces’ EP. The title track leads with a captivating vocal performance from LUFS, wrapped in a strong melodic synth top line, crisp percussion, and a weighty kick - blending emotion with refined dancefloor energy. On the flip, ‘Waves’ ventures into deeper territory, delivering a grittier, more club-focused sound with atmospheric textures and a driving groove. The ‘Faces’ EP artwork is an aerial photograph of the Knik Glacial River in Alaska, taken by Jan Erik Waider. A fine art photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, Jan is known for capturing abstract landscapes of the northern latitudes. With a focus on water, ice, and intricate natural patterns, his work reveals the beauty hidden in the subtle details of the world around us.

Alaska’s waters are among the most productive in the world, sustaining rich marine life and vital fisheries. The Alaska Marine Conservation Council (@ak.marine) champions sustainable management of these ecosystems, working with communities to protect fish habitats and ensure a healthy future for marine resources.

Besides mak.’s passion for music production he loves travelling and having a cold beer in the hot sun with friends. He also have an interest for movie editing and graphic design which he is hoping to combine with his music productions in the future. The still very young boy from Sweden have a lot more going on and will release more originals in 2019 and the years to come. We at RKJ Music believe that Markus have a bright future ahead of him and that ’Aftershock’ is the perfect song for him to kick-off his carreer which we are very proud to present.
