With over 20 years of experience curating music, Katharine has played at numerous residencies and parties, honing a unique approach to selecting music. Alongside her partners Ben Abrahams and Jules David, Katharine also founded and continues to work on their label Motion:Theory:Music.

It's quite challenging to capture the vast array of styles you can hear and feel throughout the entire set. However, you can effortlessly perceive the wide range of sounds that Katharine seamlessly incorporates without overwhelming the listener. From subtle transitions between minimal, micro, deep, and dark, to unexpected twists and turns, she maintains a strict, clean selection and mixing style.

We are happy and proud to have for the 008 issue of Catharsis Cast, Andrea Ferlin on board. 

DJ and producer Andrea Ferlin is one of the founders of SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL. It was in 2008 that Andrea, alongside Francesco Assenza, brought the label to life. Andrea found time to craft his production skills and has released his own material since 2006 on labels like Freakn'Chic, Mindshake and Leftroom. In Berlin Andrea has really discovered and shaped his sound, producing a signature apparent in all his tracks and performances, something seeming to sway effortlessly between the beat machine and the snake charmer.
He worked/works on many projects such as the duo: Dunkle Dummies, Clarissa Hazel Duo and Fedon.
As solo project he realeased as Sunny Charles on SLEEP IS COMMERCIAL.
In 2015 he create his new live project Atoll.
2016 he create two new labels Proboscide and Atoll.

This Manchester-based DJ is known for his stripped-back sound and he’s projecting this in his Implicit Mind Cast too. As a producer he’s has been making progress, which is reflected in his tracks. For example his newest ‘Easter Blend’, a smooth stripped-back track available on Bandcamp. With Modum, he and his friends were focussing on secret location parties and had support from the biggest names in minimal like Herck, Sepp, Suciu & Nu Zau. Also, they have a Podcast Series, with over 20 podcasts and every single one worth checking!

Kyle takes us on his journey, where he provides us with a smooth collection of tracks including his own work. In this one hour set, he is projecting his deep minimalistic sound, which is warm and full of body. Besides the minimalistic atmosphere, he continuously drops bassline after bassline, which keeps the set in a consistently rolling vibe. Both components are perfectly mixed by the skilled artist. The brainchild of two musical figures that hail from the concrete jungle of Istanbul, Bärtaub's musical trail is beginning to make waves across the world of minimalist music. Members Mutlu San & Batu Güler are both deep appreciators of the house & techno movement and accomplished producers in their own right. Mutlu draws his influence from the sounds of spheres from different cultures, as well as pursuing an obsession with wires and analogue hardware sequencers. Batu's high standing in Istanbul's underground community goes back to the mid-2000s, being an instrumental force in kickstarting Indigo Club, whilst holding residencies in the cities nest clubs, Wake Up Call, and Suma Beach. 

As a duo, their compositions are blessed by a perpetual, spacious, and moving nature. Triggering a balanced output that is both danceable and musically off the wall. Combining energy and grooves with minimal textures and raw analog overlays. Their measured, drip-fed output of releases continues to tease fans. Having already signed prized cuts to @paragram-records, @Otherside_thirdeyemusic, and most notably, mighty London imprint @R-Srecords. Whatever the flavour though, with the Bärtaub stamp behind it you are guaranteed a sonic journey of epic proportions that is both intimate and exciting.
