
Just as fans were beginning to wonder if Sister Soleil would ever 
return, lead singer Stella Katsoudas independently released the bands 
third effort, Eskimo. Starting with “Eskimo”, a short intro featuring 
tribal sounds, vocal harmonies and poetic, wintery lyrics and then 
“Bang It”, a very hooky pop song, outspoken, loud with innuendo and a 
catchy chorus that will likely be a leading single from this release. 
“Jonah” is very reminiscent of 90’s dance music and has a catchy 
chorus. “Out of the Jar” is one of the more emotional tracks on the 
release with a slight R&B vibe the track has a very soulful vocal 
delivery. “Pop My Top” is a very fun club track that will likely be 
another leading single from the release. “Your Body” is a more 
intimate pop-dance song good for the transition to “Ride a Waterfall”, 
a stunning song with a darker edge that sounds like what might have 
been missing from the 1996 self-release Drown Me in You.

Disturbed with the bullying crisis, Stella Katsoudas, lead singer of Sister Soleil (along with fellow members Grey Parker and Peter Bisinov) started an Anti-Bullying Campaign, encouraging victims of bullying and abuse to fight back with music and creative expression instead of violence and self-harm. "Even at a Whisper (Your Voice is Power)" was recorded at Glasswall Productions in Geneva, IL with a group of bullied kids who you can hear chanting in the chorus. The group of kids and Sister Soleil designed anti-bullying posters and organized an anti-bullying protest, "No Bullies Allowed", raising awareness and giving hope to victims. This song and it's message is meant to encourage using creative outlets and music to fight back instead of violence and in hopes of preventing teen suicide. This song is dedicated to anyone that has been bullied, anyone that is hurting right now and feels like they have no voice, anyone that is tormented for being who they are and everyone that has ever been bullied. We care and we are here for you.
