Over the decade, Suseri has immersed herself in the underground music scene in Melbourne and along with that has created a constantly evolving fan base.The depth of her music styles and her positive attitude towards her performance has continued to steadily influence and resonate with those tuning in. Her soulful selection of music and mixing styles is catered towards creating a beat that originates from within. Suseri’s sound is constantly evolving. Her psychedelic world, which expands beyond the boundaries of music genres, tends to stir the souls of the listeners, thereby creating a revolution of consciousness. Her eclectic performances are a celebration of music styles spanning genres such as Techno, Electro, Dark Disco, Progressive, Deep house and Breaks, all of this with a twist of psychedelic grooves. Driven by creating an unforgettable experience worth taking back, Suseri experiments with a varied set of projects playing on radio/podcast, nightclubs and festivals in Australia. Her style continues to evolve and surprise by mixing tunes  with a view to entertain, influence, inspire and love.

Introducing our next Sister of Sound - ANNA KRIVICH

Ukrainian born and Melbourne based, Anna has been collecting music for more than a decade. She started her DJ career in Moscow in the early 2000s while she was working for a DJ booking agency, alongside legendary DJs like Tom Middleton, Steve Lawler, and Boy George. She then took a few years off to travel the world and collect music before settling in Melbourne. Her reloca- tion to Melbourne and it’s incredible underground music scene inspired her to revive her DJ career in 2018.
In her relatively short career in Melbourne, Anna has made appearances behind the decks at the iconic Killing Time, Burning Seed and is also a guest DJ with Imported at the Lucky Coq.
Anna studied classical music from a young age, this influences her sets which often evoke the emotional journey of a classical music piece. Rather than locking herself into a specific music style, she uses her eclectic background to transition between deep house, melodic house, pro- gressive and minimal techno. Her energy is an infectious mix of techno dynamism, house groove and anthemic melodies which emphasises balance, elegance and texture to create a contrast of moods.
In 2020 she co-founded Stellar Republica, a female DJ collective which aims to support, mentor and promote female DJ talent in the Melbourne electronic music scene

An equality advocate and industry voice, she has now represented on stages for Thick as Thieves, Novel and Untitled. Her time spent grooving to the bass of others has solidified her innate ability to touch the heart of her audience at the very core in that crucial moment. It's clear to see why her beats and love for her craft has rippled across the globe

She has become the torch bearer of our equality movement that continues to work at the heart of our organisation, guiding the spiritual influences involved with such a powerful group of women and artists. We are blessed to watch Mayya and her magick weave through the web that supports our craft in the digital age.

Having already taken place behind the decks of our most beloved Melbourne venues, Killing  Time, 24 Moons and My Aeon all whilst birthing the Sisters of Sound movement - the limits for this entrepreneur are fruitful and endless. "Listening to high energy music inspires depth and stability. It’s more to do with feeling and creative expression rather than rational thought. We relax whilst refreshing our body and mind encouraging us to seek clarity and espouse self-knowledge and self-actualisation" 

Cyan is primarily a night time orientated project. She originally started her journey with Biopulse Records (UK), playing hard-hitting twilight which was soon accompanied by bouncy night-psy. These days her taste has developed to incorporate various styles of forest which led to joining the Hypnotique Recordings label in 2019 participating as the Australian Rep. 
Featuring her presence in Radizora, Trance Mexico, Italy, various radio shows, major festivals such as Wild Horses and Esoteric; she can connect with many crowds maintaining a style that fits the "CYAN" description.

Emma possesses great éclat as well as ebullience in her performance, mixing and matching music with a dark and uplifting vibe with the aim of creating a unique and driving atmosphere. Having come across many sub-genres of Psytrance, Emma brings a creative sound that blends styles old and new.

For Mexico born, Melbourne based Latina Dj Dulce, music has always been and integral part of her life growing up overseas. The electronic music scene back home was vibrant, and this is where she found her space on the D’floor. Those late nights and early mornings lit a fire inside.

After first discovering the Australian scene at Babylon Festival 2017, she mentally made the switch from being on the dance-floor to the decks, taking people on a journey through music. Her inspiration stems from Rainbow Serpent, and the unforgettable days at Revolver, Breakfast Club and Killing Time.

Mel AKA Panthaera is a Melbourne born and bred psychedelic techno DJ. She's a fresh face behind the decks, but not at all a fresh face to the scene. With a lifelong passion for music, her love of chunky basslines and cheeky psychedelic sounds was found while regularly tearing up the dancefloors of the Melbourne club and doof scene. This love naturally evolved into a desire to share her niche taste in music with those around her.

Panthaera continues to hold space within our talent scene on a number of projects with frequent sets at MyAeon and podcasts from across the city. This mix is her inspiring take on downtempo psychadelic  journey within..

Malaysian born Berlin based, her passion for electronic music was ignited whilst she lived in Mebourne / Naarm, Australia. Her first steps into this scene as she frequented clubs like Survivor! And Revolver Upstairs imprinted an ever-lasting place in her heart for genres such as techno, tech house and acid house.

Years down the line she found her way to her first psytrance festival, which led to a whole new world of inspiration that came with the beauty of natural landscapes and festival dance floors. After travelling through the world, and connecting with the music of different places and cultures, her journey into DJ-ing began in Berlin.

Introducing our next Sister of Sound - AMELIA LACKMANN

Melbourne-based DJ, designer, visual artist and long-time dance floor devotee - cutting her teeth at Melbourne’s underground institution Killing Time in 2013, she grew to become a regular fixture on the techno bar’s line-ups. Amelia has since developed a distinct palette of uplifting beats and a reputation for energising dance floors with good vibrations across a number of events and venues. 

Her unwavering passion for music and rave culture has seen her artistic work spread across several Melbourne venues and festivals including The Liberty Social, Curtin House, Section 8, Let Them Eat Cake, My Aeon and most recently, as a producer of Festival No.23.

Amelia weaves through an extensive understanding of electronic music in this mix, drawing on tribal drum pattern elements with techno-like synth sounds.. curated to push and pull you through this extended journey.

New to the DJ realm but longtime raver Koiaa has had her fair share of musical experiences. With a subtle spiritual influence, Koiaa brings her unique blend of deep house, progressive and techno, to create deep diving sets full of rich melodies and heavy baselines. 

First having an appearance guest mix on KISS FM, to getting involved with our friends at BushTechno, Koiaa is new to the Melbourne club scene. She’s spent most of her time behind the decks out in the bush, playing at private parties and in hidden suburban warehouses. 

Gathering inspiration from her favourite dance floors across the globe, from Alchemy circle at BOOM festival in Portugal, to Sisyphus in Berlin. Koiaa aims to evoke feelings from within, triggering your sensations with cosmic sounds to create your unique musical experience.

Ebony Keegan from Melbourne Australia grew up surrounded by music. It was only 7 years ago that she discovered the limitless possibilities of electronic music; gravitating her to explore and further her skills beyond being a musician and delve into the realm of psychedelic trance, birthing her alias “Lunar”.

Through telling stories and creating experiences Ebony quickly established herself as an edition to the psychedelic scene. Playing alongside both local and well-renowned international artists at festivals such as Babylon, Dragon Dreaming, Earth Frequency, Elements, Esoteric, Rainbow Serpent and The Town, she developed the ability to deliver diverse sets that explore the realms of Psy Chill, Glitch Hop, Progressive and Full On Psy.
Her sets, full of intention, purpose, heart and diverse in sound, her are curated fusing together pulsating basslines, deep beats and energetic, uplifting melodies.

This set curated for Sisters of Sound is a showcase of the new sounds, labels and artists Lunar has been discovering as of late, bringing forth a whole new energy from this little moon lady!

Introducing our next Sister of Sound - ANASTASIA

Anastasia’s passion for DJing and music production sparked from being an active member of the Red Moon Tribe and Northside dance community for the past 4 years. Upon embarking on her music journey, Anastasia has showcased her unique curation of sounds at various underground bush doofs and private gatherings over the past year. After performing sets at various larger gatherings early this year including ‘Dawn Light’ and the ‘Re:connection NY Gathering’, where she had the incredible honour of playing the midnight opening set of 2022, Anastasia has made an official entrance into the Melbourne event scene with her debut Red Moon set at Crescent Moon Gathering last weekend. 

Inspired by a combination of raw, driving European techno and the earthy, organic Australian bush sounds that we love so much, Anastasia brings this unique blend into her sets, creating a hypnotic journey filled with rich melodies and dark basslines.

Amy AKA Limerent is a fresh face to the Melbourne scene. Following her passion for electronic music she moved to Melbourne from Sydney amid the pandemic. She fell in love with Drum and Bass while on a gap year in the UK back in 2010, and is now showcasing her enthusiasm for all things DNB from behind the decks.

With this selection my aim is to showcase the most beautiful and interesting DNB - to represent how diverse the genre is. This mix is mostly lovely liquid, a bit of jungle, with a couple of rollers thrown in for good measure. Enjoy the journey

Certain elements and genres stood out and formed the building blocks to construct her project “ Tairam “. Signing with Universal Tribe Records allows her to have access to catalogs such as bush prog, dark prog, and deep progressive which compliments her ability to create her psytrance side. Tairam swims in a diverse music genre, her energetic playlist for techno with a twist of psychedelic sounds keeps the element of surprise always at her fingertips.

Naomi (@naomikharma) is a Melbourne based DJ and Producer, a mad scientist in her personal life as well as her musical pursuits dabbling in sounds from the age of 5. One of her earliest memories was making music with Mario Paint (music arranger) on Super Nintendo. As she grew, her passion for music did as well.
Learning the piano, guitar and violin played a major part in her experimentation with live instruments and digital beats. Drum and bass nights (where eargasms became encapsulating on intimate dance floors) is what inspired Naomi to enter the electronic realm, where she broadened her knowledge and learnt how to mix records/spin vinyl, Interestingly enough that is where she found a new love for techno.
After joining forces with Offworld Crew, her style of bush tech emerged. Rolling bass-lines, layered melodies and deep minimal drops across all genres are her cup of tea. Naomi’s adventurous soul and light nature comes through her music whilst still dabbling in the dark side. After years in the industry, and mastering the skills of a deejay she was inspired to create her own magic. A producer who has been alchemising techno and drum n bass into her own auditory style of "Wub-Tech".
Carefully fine tuning her sounds, beats and live instrument samples for her upcoming releases she'll capture you with her bass rollers and harmonic melodies that reflect her eclectic and mischievous style.

Shell Shock (she/her) is a DJ, party host and event curator who loves disco, house, techno and throwback tunes. She has played venues around Naarm including My Aeon, Evie's Disco Diner, Killing Time, Black Magic Bar, Radio Bar and live on KISS FM. Shell Shock’s sets are emotional journeys full of heart, energy and playfulness. She also runs events and plays disco weddings.

This mix – created especially for Sisters of Sound – explores what Shell Shock is all about: funky basslines, playful sassiness and banging beats. It’s a climactic journey through soulful house, thumping tech house and groovy techno - with some remixes of some familiar classics thrown in just for fun.
