The 15-track release is a special edition of fabric Originals' ongoing compilation series presented by new fabric brand Love Hertz. 

The third compilation coming out on fabric Originals also marks the first melodic, deep house and groovy electronic compilation from fabric’s flagship label. SELECTS III is a celebration of a genre that has found a firm and welcome home at the club itself post-lockdown. It includes 15 fresh, new, and all-original cuts from the likes of Red Axes, Perel, Tony Y Not, Shubostar, Glowal, and Zombies In Miami. 

SELECTS III is an array of exciting new talent, established artists, and fabric club regulars alike, all contributing towards a glistening project that will transport listeners into uplifting dancefloor-ready bliss. Red Axes, who have also released a separate single ‘HEY’ ft. A.lonzo via Originals, have put forth the track ‘Super Power Powder’. Meanwhile, rising talent and one-to-watch Chloé Caillet delivers the excellent ‘Back To Self’, making a firm stamp on the release ahead of her curated night ‘SMIILE’ at Colour Factory in Hackney Wick this November. 


Other tracks include ‘Revelation’ from Kiara Scuro; diverting slightly from the compilation’s more contemplative moments, the London-based duo presents a floaty yet impactful track, that warps, ebbs, flows, and ups the tension just at the right moment. SOS Music takeover Across The Pond this week – the new LA based label founded by Maddy Maia & Tottie launched on 9.9.20, with Berlin-based label !K7. To celebrate the label’s announce and its first release, a 14-track eclectic compilation (SOS Music Volume 1) – SOS Music will be hosting a 3 part series on dublab today, an on 10.28 with mixes and interviews from some of the artists on the compilation.

They welcome Violet and Ivy Barkakati onto dublab’s airwaves – both have forthcoming tracks on SOS Music Volume 1 -Violet – Search & Find is out on 9/30 and Ivy’s Barkakati’s track Reactivar will be out on 10.23. Their first release a compilation -including Maral, rRoxymore, Umfang, Minimal Violence, Lara Sarkissian, C Love, Hinako Omori, and Nene H, comes out on October 23rd and is available on digital and limited vinyl.

Ivy Barkakati is an American DJ and producer based in Barcelona since 2012. Her solo music has been released on Hospital Productions and Modern Obscure Music, and her vocals have featured on tracks by Cardopusher, Furious Frank, and Roza Terenzi. Her project IVAN with the Venezuelan producer Phran has just self-released their EP Delicious Fantasy. She is also half of another duo, Proceed, with the Basque producer Eneko Balzategi, and their debut EP recently released on Haus of Beats. Since 2016 she has presented the radio show Casa da Crega on the Barcelona branch of dublab, dublab.es.

In her home city Lisbon, Violet is contributing to her local scene from different angles. She’s co-founder of online radio station Rádio Quântica and also resident at mina – a queer ravein unexpected venues. This work permeates Violet’s work as an artist, as she thoughtfully expresses the political history of dance music through her voice and her music. As a producer, she has released music on One Eyed Jacks and LoveOn The Rocks, self-released collaborations with artists likes Elles, DEBONAIR and Nightwave for International Women’s Day, remixed on Cómeme and established her own label – Naive. The first self-released EP on it, “Togetherness” resonated widely, using the sound of familiar breaks and twisting them into new contexts with dub-inspired bass, brass flourishes and dreamy chords. Eris Drew played the title track on her widely appraised RA podcast as well as choosing it as the featured track in a short film about her DJing. Violet incorporates similar sounds from her production process into her DJing, melding breaks, extraterrestrial jacking rhythms, imaginative techno, acid house and more in a way that feels natural and challenging all at once. She has contributed mixes for Beats In Space, Crack, The Ransom Note, Mixmag and Cómeme as well as having radio appearances on Rinse, NTS and The Lot. Violet has played across Europe at parties such as Room 4 Resistance, Berlin Atonal and Field Maneuvers and embarked on her first US tour in 2018.
