Hey Fams! I'm stoked to be sharing my Friday afternoon Air Stage Set from Dragon Dreaming 2023.

Being invited to share some tunes in an official capacity at Dragon was a real dream come true. Dragon has been an integral part of my doofing/festival community journey for close to 10 years, and I truly adore this festival and its extraordinary clique of phenomenal beings. Getting to groove on down with so many of you on Friday was fucking awesome! Count me in again some time.

With a solid foundation in drum and bass, Komodo knows how to throw down a set that’s both hard-hitting and immersive. From halftime and jungle to 140 and breaks, his style is all about keeping things fresh and taking his crowd on a journey through a killer mix of sounds.

You can feel Komodo’s passion for music in every set, and it’s this energy that makes his performances stand out. Whether he’s on the decks or in the mix, he’s all about creating something unique that sticks with the crowd long after the music stops. He’s already been featured on platforms like Data Transmission Radio, Area3000, and 4ZZZ, and has had the chance to warm up for big names like S.P.Y, General Levy, and Paige Julia.

Komodo’s been lighting up some of the hottest festivals in the region too, including Initiation Festival (2023 & 2024), Archaic Gathering 2024, and Resonant Frequency Festival 2024. Australian artist Sistym has a propensity for rumbling low-end soundscapes where the sub rattles your rib cage. Growing up in Perth, she discovered D&B through religiously buying releases from labels such as Hospital Records and Shogun Audio at the local music store. Quickly falling in love with the deeper side of the genre, this new fast paced hyperfocus led her to pick up DJing, eventually resulting in playing on lineups with Andy C, Break and Alix Perez amongst many more. 

Currently based in Melbourne, she is deeply involved in the city’s D&B community and is part of the roster for respected crew The Operatives. In 2023, she founded Midnight Request - an event brand focused on promoting local and international underground acts. 

Sistym’s fondness of moody atmospheres and textures in combination with technical drum breaks and rolling basslines won her a place in the 2023 Overview Music & Dynamics production mentorship. Currently locked deep in the studio, her upcoming debut solo releases have been signed and are ready to unleash.

Appearing at internationally renowned festivals such as Shambhala and Northern Bass as well as murking clubs across the UK and Europe, watch out for Sistym shelling down more dance floors around the globe soon.
