Droids was a one-off electronic disco act concepted by Fabrice Cuitad who in the 70's was a young label manager at Barclay Records. He founded Egg as a side project with a view to compete with Virgin (first artist signings include Heldon among others). 
Right after seeing "Star Wars" for the first time, he decided to make the concept album Star Peace, a French synth-disco experiment. Most of the tracks on Star Peace sound like a more dancefloor ready version of Kraftwerk with tight 4/4 beats (though acoustic and not voltage-controlled) and juicy analogue sounds. The force reminisce's the works of Klaus Schulze and other early analogue experimenters. A definite classic and a must-own for lovers of cosmic sounds. 
This re-edit has been downtempoed, lengthened to a DJ friendly length, had the rough edges taken out of it, and a little adjustment on the eq. For a heavier bassier version more suitable to club playing, please see the dirty edit.

Droids - (Do You Have) The Force (Science Adventure Clean Re-Edit)

We are back! After almost 2 years since the release of our album “Metropoli”, we decided to release a one off vinyl I2” single that maybe will be part, maybe not, of our future album scheduled for 2O2O on Bordello A Parigi records. After playing live all around Europe and meeting our fantastic audience, we thought it was right to go back to our Italo roots in full effect. “Now Or Never” is an energic and dirty Italo club track going straight to the dance floor, no compromise! On the b-side you’ll find our rendition of the legendary track “(Do You Have) The Force” by the great French project The Droids that we’ve been playing already since a couple of years. Mastering was done by the mighty Alden Tyrell, background vocals by our dreamy collaborator Francesca Gastaldi and graphic design by MILKPLUS.
