About the Guest:
Luis “Squeegee” Castillo was born in the Bronx and grew up idolizing David Cone and the New York Yankees. As a teenager, he was the Yankees’ batboy during their most recent dynasty, from 1998 to 2005, spanning three World Series Championships and two other World Series appearances. He was nicknamed “Squeegee” by NY Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter. Squeegee went on to become the author of an insider’s tale called Clubhouse Confidential. He has made numerous media appearances as an author, speaker, and translator. A passionate advocate of children’s literacy, Castillo launched “The Squeegee Children’s Literacy Foundation”, a non-profit organization geared toward increasing youth literacy in inner cities.

Luis has a new book, that is currently being published by Newman Springs Publishing. It’s a Children’s book honoring players and mentors such as David Cone and Darryl Strawberry. But it also teaches kids a lesson of not giving up or not to be quick to judge others.

About the Guest:
Balkrishan Sanyasi is a Kashmiri poet and a writer. He has published two poetry collections in Kashmiri language and was nominated thrice for Sahitya Academy award. He has written more than 100 papers on language, literature and social issues and presented in various literary forums. His poems have been translated into many Indian regional and foreign languages. He was invited in the National Symposium of Poets organized by All India Radio in Varanasi in the year 2011 and is a member of the expert committee with the Ministry of Information and broadcasting and the ministry of culture. He taught Political Science to post graduate students and has a keen eye on the changing political scenario that confronts nation states which is reflected in his writings.

About the Guest:
Having worked 14 years in management for Fortune 500 companies, Greg Miller has been serving as an arts administrator to non-profits since 2003 when he co-produced the Fall Collection, a mixed media festival in the Lower East Side.  Drawing from his love of dance and cultural experiences from living nine years abroad, Greg founded Dance Parade, Inc. in 2006. Greg seeks to anchor the” One Parade-Many Cultures” vision by encouraging as many artistic and vibrant forms of movement as possible—nourishing a network of those who will cross generations and cultures to unite and celebrate under the umbrella of dance. Motivated by the healing qualities of dance, he practices Cuban Salsa (Rueda), Roller Disco and Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms, a conscious movement practice. He has been honored as a presenter at The New York Dance and Performance Awards (The Bessies), served as Associate Director for The Fall Festival, a multimedia arts festival, the General Manager of Nimbus Dance Works, Jersey City’s preeminent dance company and currently consults for non-profits, serving on the Advisory Board for Neville Dance Theatre, a contemporary ballet company.
