Italian hotshot Yaar Kü has been a pivotal part of the huge success of After Caposile, having helped it grow from a humble Sunday after hours to the worldwide powerhouse it currently is. Having honed his craft in the garden and in the main room, Yaar Kü has distilled his sound over years of experimentation to produce the heady sonics that his sets burst with. Outside of his home turf, there have been many highlights to speak of and with slots at Les Enfants Brillants, Butik Festival, Distrikt Bar in Leeds, and Yellow House during  Amsterdam Dance Event there will surely be many more in 2024.

As well as a steady slew of top drawer bookings on the horizon, Yaar Kü is also in the process of forging his path in the studio. Being a part of the label output from Caposile Music is not a prerequisite as the brand is built on quality and their residents need to adhere to this. Luckily for AC there are bombs a plenty to be found in Yaar Kü’s studio. This has already begun to bear fruits with releases on his beloved Caposile Music by way of a sole EP, an inclusion on “The Sound of the Garden” VA, and most recently the impressive collab alongside Miller for Les Enfants Records.

Moving on to this week's InSession edition and we find this Italian in scintillating form with a barrage of punchy selections that we can visualise destroying every part of the dancefloor. From proto house and deeper cuts there is a distinct Italo flavour that underpins the mix to devastating effect. We would be selling both artist and mix extremely short to say that this is part of the sound that makes up After Caposile, but there is little doubt that Yaar Kü’s influence is a clear indicator of the vibe that makes up this special place.

The single release from Jimi Tenor’s supcoming second thematic album titled “July Blue Skies” on Timmion Records offers two very different moods. “Summer of Synesthesia” takes us back to those dreamy summer days, a natural overpour of sensations mixing together, sounds becoming colors before turning into flavors. Synthesizers grow into delicate layers over Cold Diamond & Mink’s rhythm, and when your heart can hardly bear the beauty of it all, Tenor’s soft lyric places the cherry on top.

Pintai returns with its third release, coming courtesy of Switzerland based artist, Pango, in the shape of the ‘Helio’ EP.

Pango’s new release delves into deep, layered emotions—evoking mystery, wonder, and awe. Each track is a careful exploration of contrast: raw textures meet refined sound design, while contrasting sonic elements interlock to create immersive, textured soundscapes. Intricate, organic percussion anchors the compositions with a sense of momentum, driving the music forward with rhythm as detailed as it is dynamic.
The result is a collection that feels both exploratory and intentional—offering moments of tension, release and immersion.

Opening the release is title-track ‘Helio’, a dropped tempo journey drifting through hazy textural tones, an organic rhythm section, fluttering resonant synth tones and cossetting low-end swells all subtly nuanced throughout. ‘Christilist’ follows and picks up the tempo while stripping things down rhythmically to raw, reduced drums while an amalgamation of dubbed out stab sequences and weight subs dynamically wind through the hypnotic groove.

‘Faehtar’ opens the B-side next with bumpy bass hits and crisp, saturated percussion running alongside unfurling, cinematic strings and airy chords. ‘Wardal’ then concludes the release, diving deep via choppy bass notes, jazzy keys, intricately bubbling synth melodies and a bouncy drum groove.
