Vi Hampton takes Taylor Swifts popular hit song "shake it off" and turns it into a hip hop/pop up beat love song. She also takes the opportunity to express her respect for Taylor Swift's music saying in the begging of the song "I would love to work with Taylor Swift once I am signed onto OVO" Vi Hampton seems to just  be having fun, expressing high energy, confidence, personality and humor. This is the 4th promo song she has released anticipating her album which releases 10/26 of THIS month. There will be no leaks this time, she wants #TheCampaign to be a complete surprise.

Please listen to the last track I will upload of this year. Called "What's Next?" It is the last song from my album called "The Campaign" Named towards my journey towards OVO sound Label. This year has been one for the books. While I was in wisconsin when I recorded this song, the day it released on my album I was in hollywood. Which is where I am currently living now and have been for almost a year in January. This song is futuristic. It is a message to where I am going, it is a farewell to my past and an embrace of what ever is next to throw at me. As we go through this journey we will feel success and pain as equal, but one day we will arrive where we intended or somewhere even better. This is my favorite song from the album. It makes me feel  invincible, it makes my heart race, it makes me feel every emotion that makes us feel alive. So when you listen... please know that is what I am sharing with you.

Vi Hampton brings in september loud and proud. Late march she announced she would be releasing another project this fall on her birthday as she has done with her previous 3. But with this release she said no more sneaking around it is time to announce what I want, by naming her album to come "OVO OR DIE" with an entire new sound, and a self proclaimed image Vi Hampton releases her first single "Come my way" As she is singing the song is vibey, and gives you a mood that you would like to share with your crush. Vi Hampton is confident, with this brand new sound, her fans are even more anxious to hear what the enitre project will sound like, not to mention... there are alot of peole saying she wont sign to DRAKE. People are wondering with this project... could this finally be the drop that gets his teams attention. We are excited to get more music from Vi ... as she charges her way through september and straight to her GOLDEN birthday which is when OVO OR DIE is set to officilally drop everywhere. Freedom is TRUTH pt. 1

This song I created for people who may have gotten their heart broken and are pissed off about it. The back story to this is I had met this girl and it wasn't the most opportune time for me in my life as I had too many moving pieces but I took the risk and invited this person into a very fragile and  vulnerable world. I gave everything I could which wasn't materially much at the time, but my heart comes at a high price as I don't fall in love often. Anyway it wasn't long till I realized I had been matched with a serial monogamous, a person who has never been single... someone who commits to everyone with the same amount of intensity and who goes through phases of emotions with each person. I was caught in the cross fire of that but there were many hints I ignored, so I partially blame myself. Anyway it lead me to being humiliated at this party. I showed up with flowers and a bottle for the house but in reality I shouldn't have even came because I was being played. After I realized what was going on. I left and we never spoke again but I had never been treated with such disrespect and low like I legit wasnt shit. So for the next few months ... this was my attitude. "Got a black heart walls up on guard" I just didn't want to go there with anyone else ever again and I honestly still feel like I don't. Either way this song was created to express an emotion of just saying "fuck you, next" The hint in the song when I say "bust it open you don't even know me" well if you want the details to that part as of why its referenced write me on twitter or IG: @sixhampton lets share our heart break stories and heal from them. Likely if they didn't know how to treat you at least half way decent they surely didn't deserve you. And its ok to have a black heart for a while, just be honest about it and don't turn into the person who hurt you.
