Pakate Records' 11th digital instalment hails from the US, with James Wyler (Solid Grooves Raw) back at it again after his recent label debut on our Alike Miami 2024 VA. This time, it's a full package! He brings all his gritty minimal attitude on the entitled "MPR" EP, a mainstay in Jean Pierre's sets over the last year, with Romanian star Nu Zau enriching the package with a silky remix.

James' originals exude roughness and arrogance, sounding dirty and crisp as ever. The minimal influences are undeniable, and his style perfectly fits with Pakate's cutting-edge sound exploration, with snaking grooves, heavy low subs, and catchy vocal tricks, whilst Nu Zau takes his remix into a more marching, joyful pattern with echoing stabs, light arpeggios, and crunchy drums.

The power behind 2022’s three-track ‘PauPau’ EP kicks into gear again on Clarisse to show who’s the hottest on the block right now. Aaron Martin equips clubs with fire extinguishers without ever telling arenas to cool off or to find shade in open spaces; Malaga’s most wanted, with Jamie Jones, Richie Hawtin and James Hype on his trail and with an ear for a shrewd club bootleg, gives directions to the ‘Hot Spot’ in question on a quest for five-star feedback.
 

‘Hot Spot’ pulls off a contrast of deep bass-sewn house, coming to the boil and zigzagging with patient percussion, and a pretty audacious hook swooping in and breathing fire, toughening the beats along the way. Warping the vocals of a 70s disco queen until they’re scorched under the spotlight, don’t be surprised if everyone in attendance goes the whole hog and starts singing the words back in a state of delighted undress.
 

From the ‘Hot Spot’ to the ‘Soundklub’, Martin switches venues, a run-and-gun routine with an acid-style melody ducking, diving and pushing towards the next level. The rat-a-tat revolutions tap into meticulously assembled machinery, and a headset vocal encourages Martin to give it all he’s got from city to city. For all its intensity, ‘Soundklub’ shows itself as a slim, athletic workout, going six minutes straight without coming up for air. From AM to PM, Aaron Martin’s your man.

From Tech House spreading the concept of what is electronic music made to dance and enjoy from the Canary Islands for the World.

It begins as a label in mid 2010, and later that when he debuted in the top and main digital stores, where you can enjoy your references.
Six Sound Records founded what some young canaries with the aim of bringing their sound fresh, contemporary and pure groove to national and international electronic music scene in the world today and the future.

The label is currently preparing its return to the scene after a period of inactivity:

Since 2010 we started this adventure, being a new and unknown record label, just like its founders, without sponsors, without help, all based on hard work, perseverance and passion. We have taken this idea as far as possible during all these years. With many ups and downs, personal inconveniences of the owners and A&R, that many times prevented us from moving forward. Then there was a global pandemic that shook the very foundations of life as we knew it.

On this long road, artists have passed through here who today are more than established in electronic music, who are part of this and of the effort that goes into creating a record label from the lowest and most humble level in this scene.

Continuing with the most up to date of a list of which we are proud, being many of them regulars editing in this label. To all of them and to those who are still fighting for their dreams... THANK YOU.

Now it's time to go back, and to put everything we have learned in the past to good use. It is time to return to the essence that put this label in the spotlight. Renewed energy to face the new present and future that is to come (and new instagram account, we were hacked).
