In November 2024, Japanese quartet Hibushibire flew into the UK for the third time. Heads were banged, minds were blown and a new legion of fans were made.

During the tour, the band recorded several shows with the idea to release another of their legendary live bootleg albums if the performances were up to scratch. They were.

This a trimmed down version of their set, recorded in both Glasgow and London with no overdubs and no fancy production.

It's 100% raw/live Hibushibire as God intended.

Creating a steady and surreal exploration through astral planes. Nolla improvised the ground layer in their signature minimal space-rock style and MikeV wrapped everything up in lavish layers of fuzz, phased and U-Wah layered guitars.

Blending octaval tones, around an array of electronics & vocal harmonies. Resulting in a constant trance like psychedelic drone rock.

We’ve purged the Acid Mothers Temple archives once again, resurrecting another classic album ‘Electric Heavyland’. Originally released in 2002 on CD only (via Alien 8 Recordings) ‘Electric Heavyland’ is presented here for the first time on vinyl, remastered and with a whole bonus live side!

Housed in a beautiful gatefold sleeve with heavy use of the original black and metallic silver ink artwork

“Listening to Brainbombs has been one of my weirdest experiences with music.

Brainbombs are most definitely a band. I guess at the core they’re a hardcore punk/noise rock hybrid I guess? But… its so unlike anything I’ve ever heard and I still don’t know if its good or bad. I saw the edgelord Ed Gein album cover, and it intrigued me, so I listened to their biggest song and it was easily THE WORST thing I had EVER FUCKING HEARD. I shut it off as soon as it got to the vocals. I was shocked by the fact that it had almost a half million streams. But, a few hours later, I clicked on it again and didn’t know why. 

Over the past few days, I’ve listened to all of their discography and looped a lot of it. And I don’t even think I like them. The music is abysmal, its the same single riff and verse repeating for 5 minutes. To make it worse, the vocals are just a guy with a swedish accent awkwardly talking about murder and rape. That sounds awful right? It is awful. But at the same time I want to keep listening? It’s so childishly edgy and obnoxiously repetitive but so.. intriguing? Catchy? I’m not even sure. Its one of if not the weirdest experience I’ve ever had with music and I don’t know how to feel about it.”

Guitar wielding heavy psych explorers Dead Otter return with their inter-dimensional new album 'The Sentinel', released October 31st on Riot Season in the UK and Echodelick in the US, this full length marks the band's first release since 2018's 'Bridge of Weird'. 

The otternaut, having traversed through the wormhole laden 'Bridge of Weird' finds themself isolated on a desert planet, the only visible life towers above in the form of a malevolent, sky dwelling planetoid known as "The Sentinel".

The Sentinel was recorded in Glasgow's Dystopia Studio, mixed by Omar Aborida (The Cosmic Dead) and mastered by John McBain (Monster Magnet, Desert Sessions, Wellwater Conspiracy).

Born in Los Angeles, guitarist and vocalist Jasso has been forging his own strain of psychedelic noise rock since 2001. After early work with The Antarcticans, he shifted focus with OGOD (Over-Gain Optimal Death), pushing forward guitar experimentation and lyrical intensitywithin a rock formula and embraced a raw, instinctive approach to sound,favoring spontaneity, power and emotional weight over structure. Across the years, Jasso has collaborated with key figures in the Japanese underground, including working with Kawabata Makoto and performing as part of the trio Psychedelic Speed Freaks. For him, psychedelic music became a medium for grappling with unanswerable questions through sound distortion and cathartic words. 

This ethos and quest to further experimentation led to this new collaboration with UK guitarist Mike Vest.
Sharing parallel paths in their work with Japanese psychedelic musicians, their partnership felt inevitable. Rather than deliver the expected heavy psych freakout, they opted for something more direct and confrontational.

The result is the project Non Violence, the album: “Lifted Curse”, a six-track blast of noise rock focused not on mysticism and psych tropes, but instead on psychological depth. The album rips through raw male emotion—fraternity, loss, lust, creation, and death. Jassoʼs lyrics read like an unfiltered journal mid burnout, Vestʼs swirling, savant-garde guitars create a tension with Jassoʼs own guitars and Snedʼs rocksteady grooves forms a fistfight of harmony and dissonance.
