one of maybe 2 things I liked using the tape looper side of the Mood mkII.  I know this is a rip-off of something, and I'm pretty sure it's Boards of Canada, but it could be Kid Loco or Bonobo or something otherwise Ninja Tune-y, but I don't quite remember

This is a simple interval latched  into the Dream Mode of a Walrus Sloer, battling it out with a basically-dimed Chase Bliss Onward.  I believe that’s going into the full wet reverse mode of a Line 6 Echo Park, but with basically zero attack it’s not doing much. At some point I hit the momentary button on an Industrialectric RN-1M and that creates a little chaos. At :55 I glance over at ky guitar, sitting there in a stand minding its own business, and I pluck the open B string. That’s really the only “playing” here; the rest is the effects doing their thing and some knob twiddling.

So this is a little almost-runaway thing with the Industrialectric (RIP) Echo Degrader, and a little spring from the absolutely sublime Echo Fix EF-P2.  I believe there's a little saturation from the Deco v2.  Just trying to see how loopy it'll get before it runs away with itself.  And yeah, for some reason this noodle reminds me of stoned-out Gomez.  Not that that's a bad thing....

This is a "live" version of The First Realization (Parasite), although I recorded this one first.  Instead of the loop, I'm playing [roughly] the same phrase, live (ergo, it's only one guitar track).  It's otherwise basically the same setup: Walrus Sloer -> Chase Bliss Onward -> Some other stuff (maybe the RM-1N, if memory serves).  I like the drone better on this one, for whatever that's worth.

the first realization is the hardest to eradicate

This is a relatively simple loop feeding into a Walrus Sloer at almost full mix, and then having the pad-y nature of that battle it out with the catch-and-hold thing the Onward does.  I think there's a few other things in there too (RM-1N?  Although I don't think it's doing to much), but I don't really remember at this point.  I think I'm playing over the loop a bit, and maybe twiddling some knobs.  I don't really get how to control the Onward, so I'm not sure how to do things like make sure it doesn't cut out completely, and how to "play" it more rhythmically.  But I think this sounds cool regardless.

This is an EHX Attack Decay set to its envelope-restart tremolo mode, with a Polarbear Drowner v4 (best effect ever!) in the FX loop.  That's running into the WMD Protostar for the filter stuff, and then it's all gained up by the Science Mother Preamp.  Simple enough.  Normally I'd change the settings between he riff and the lead noodle, but I couldn't be bothered.  Still works, I guess.

This is sparse noodle with EHX Attack Decay in a more traditional “slow gear” ramp, with the Polar Bear Drowner v4 and WMD Protostar in the loop. I think I switch on the Echo Degrader at some point…it doesn’t do much but add some noise.

I think this is the Polar Bear Drowner v4 in the loop of the Electro-Harmonix Attack Decay. The A/D stretches everything out and gives that slightly burbly feel as the polyphonic detection glitches out. There might be an EHX Mel9 in front to give it that tonal characteristic, and maybe even a Walrus Sloer in the loop as well. It’s noodle-y, but it sounds cool I think. Recorded direct to iPhone from a Boss IR-2.

I believe this is the Digitech/Hardwire RV-7's full-wet reverse doing some weirdness.  It's going into the WMD Protostar (the LFO gives that whooshing sound).  There's an Industrialectric RM-1n for some grit, and the whole thing is going into the Science Mother Preamp.  The loop is mostly the Walrus Sloer.  Recorded on a Boss IR-2, direct to iPhone.

This is a simple concept with the Strymon Volante [destructive] tape looper ("Frippertronics" or whatever).  I don't remember what else is going on, but not much.  I reverse it toward the end, mostly because I don't know what I'm doing with these kinds of things.

A little riff that I think the bass player in my high school band used to noodle on 30 years ago. The loop is basically nothing more than a playground to dick around with my new Strymon Dig v2. It does the thing.  Shit like this basically comes stock out of the box.
