Drive is definitely the craziest thing I’ve ever made, I call it my Bohemian Rhapsody. It came together in pieces - I had the beginning section demoed out, and when I brought it to Dave we came up with the idea of having a long, insane, borderling masochistic outro. We smoked a lot of weed and started building each sound one by one, creating each section to be it’s own moment with it’s own energy. Looking back though I’m like...how the fuck did we make that.

Last summer on tour I fell in love with a girl named Lauren. She was headlining the tour and I was supporting. It all came together in Tulsa, on our day off - we met in the lobby of a 1920’s hotel, had drinks on the roof, and stayed up all night talking, listening to Cigarettes After Sex, laughing, kissing...it’s about that initial feeling of falling, and how uncontrollable it can be.

We had the skeleton for this song for over a year before we filled in the lyrics - at first, it was just a beat and a melody I had freestyled until one day I woke up and had the idea to make it a carefree, soft bitch falling in love all summer anthem.
