I was driving down Sunset when I saw a neon sign in the front of a liquor store: King Cobra Malt Liquor. That’s when I got the original idea for the song, and it ended up blooming into a dance record about vulnerability and letting the bad guy in because you’d rather let them hurt you than feel nothing at all.

This song is the realization that forever isn’t real - knowing that you’re about to get your heart broken but not knowing what the fuck to do about it. It’s the decision to go hard and fast and all at once, to dive in and burn out because the only other option is losing it.
