JQ Whitcomb & Five Below - Brindahl (2021 remaster)

it was snowing in shanghai back in january 2008. however, if you made it to yongfu road, corner of fuxing west road, and looked around a bit, there was a slight chance that you stumbled into a proper jazz club with a band on stage. and they were playing this tune, on a tuesday night, in front of perhaps 50 people. all kinds of people, united by the love for jazz and some alcohol. you could also smoke indoors back then. there was a whole community of expat musicians around the club. it was called JZ Club and the jazz was strong.
