An early 4 AM recording of crows waking up, in the rain.

Music is not only about making, but also about listening. I go out and record with a Marantz PDM-660 and record whatever I can. In this case it happened to be 4 AM and the crows were just waking up. I posted the full 30 minutes because 4 minutes do not do justice to the moment. Afterwards, I just listen to relax, or I sample and integrate. There are so many sample packs nowadays, but we tend to forget the basic sample pack - the nature around us. Feel free to sample from this and do whatever you want with it. I am using this recording for 'The crow sessions'. 

On a more philosophical level these birds represent our human society, where everyone is talking and no one is listening. It leads to a cacophony and not a symphony.

Drawn to sounds in the distance I chart my path, my ears lead me and my eyes will join. I collect and I recollect. Meaning is not given but taken. Home and abroad is the same but different. The difference is created by the distance. The distance is just a stance. Wherever you go, sound will be waiting for you to lead you into a trance, to dance, to awaken.
