Longer is an exemplary stance on what the end of summer feels like.  It’s loud as the sirens that pass and as in your face as the sun that beats down on the pavement. The Matt Miggz produced track speaks to the affinity City James and the producer have to women from the east coast but more specifically NEW YORK!  City James in all his bravado charms you with his aggressively yet carefully crafted words as he explains his wit and hustle all for the sake of impressing the woman he has taken interest in at the current moment. Miggz more than supports the song with an all too catchy chorus that will have you obnoxiously saying “Long, Long, Long, Longer!!” at the most inopportune times.

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new series at Innervisions called “Quantum Spits”.
House music has been around for decades, and throughout its evolution, it has spawned numerous sub-genres. “Quantum Spits” aims to explore and celebrate this diversity by dedicating each release to a particular aspect of this thing we call House. 
Our goal is to provide a platform for both established and up-and-coming producers to express their unique take on house music while also paying homage to the roots of the genre.

We are kicking off the series with Skatman, the Tunisian-born producer, DJ and label head. On „Rewarped“ he slams old school hip-hop samples into some raw and pumping house tracks, providing a fresh and up to date connection between these distinct musical eras to deliver six new cuts of raw concise electronic music. 

“Taking familiar elements and giving them a fresh twist,” says Skatman aka Aziz Haddad.

Motion

Prolific English multi-instrumentalist Redinho (Sub Pop, Numbers) moved to London’s rough Holloway Road during lockdown. Aside from prompting him to join a boxing club, the neighborhood also influenced a wave of manic, ebullient tracks created on an old Akai S3000XL sampler, a Tascam Portastudio recorder and a small handful of junky machines. The resulting album, 1-800-SUC-CESS, is raw and spontaneous, assembled like a mixtape with tape hiss and surrealist interludes.

He created videos that connect multiple songs, which he described as “a kind of infomercial nightmare. The relentless selling of a material, financial or spiritual fix to the human condition.” He muses: "This projection of intense self-improvement, whether through fitness, finance or psychological and spiritual mastery, seemed propelled by desperation.” And yet there is an undertone of humor and wit that balances out all the paranoia, making 1-800-SUC-CESS and highly entertaining listening experience.
