Ali Love debuts on Hot Creations as he partners with Prince Andre for the vibrant ‘Da Da On’. 

An artist with a rich history within modern house music and longstanding ties to Hot Creations, Ali Love makes his  solo debut on the label with collaborator and Brazilian rapper Prince Andre. Ali takes on production duties here,  and the result is a pretty unique slice of Brazilian hip house. ‘Da Da On’ brings a driving bassline, samba inspired  percussion, whistles, and Prince Andre’s effervescent rhymes. This is an explosion of energy built for Carnaval. The  dub highlights the track’s rolling drums and Carnaval atmosphere. Remixes are to follow.

One of the premier songwriters of contemporary UK dance music, Ali Love has released material via Crosstown  Rebels, Keinemusik, and Defected in recent times, and collaborated with The Chemical Brothers, Justice,  Camelphat and Róisín Murphy, amongst many others. It was, of course, on Hot Creations, where Ali collaborated  with Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Luca C as Hot Natured, and whose ‘Benediction’ has now become a  contemporary dance music classic. This is Ali Love’s long-awaited return to the imprint. 

Ali Love comments: “This is the first solo record I’ve released without my lead vocals, so I think it shows that I’m  more than just a vocalist. I was a session musician way before I even started singing, and I’ve always produced my  own solo music. It’s also the first record I’ve released on Hot Creations since ‘Benediction’, and it was wicked to  A&R the tune with Jamie at the end. His feedback resulted in the tunes massive samba drum breakdown (JJ  beatboxed the samba drum idea down the phone!) then me and my co- producer Freek re-created it using his voice  mail as the guide. It started off as a laugh but in the end it really took the track to the next level. 

The whole track is a family affair. My girlfriend Naomi is Brazilian, and we took our baby girl (Juno Love) to Brazil  for the first time to meet the family. The vocalist is actually my girlfriend’s youngest brother (one of 6 boys). He’s an  amazing rapper from Bahia. We recorded in Florianópolis and then in Bahia at the actor Fabricio Boliveira's pad  (another family member), with all the cousins doing background vox. A lot of fun, and it came together so quickly.  You can feel the heat in the music. It was also the perfect way to meet all the family and mark the occasion with  something tangible.”

Paco Osuna’s record label, Mindshake, presents a funk-infused tech house EP by La Madone, which features two solo tracks plus a collaboration with WeMart.

Based in France, La Madone is making her Mindshake debut following music on other respected imprints. Her style layers funky basslines underneath flowing percussion, laying a foundation for the infectious vocals that are trademark to her sound.

La Madone is famed for her unforgettable DJ sets, and has played international shows everywhere from Ibiza to Bangkok.

One of the three tracks on this release is a collaboration with WeMart who’s a Mindshake regular, making his third appearance on the record label. He has a hip hop-inspired sound that has been a regular feature of Paco Osuna’s DJ sets.

"Enough (You My B!tch Now)" is the EP's title track, and it’s a percussive track with in-your-face vocals and a funky bass guitar.
