That was once again the best nation of all time. As the closing DJ by the lake, Sundays always feel like a new festival, especially since the lakeside stage has really improved over the last few years, transforming Sunday from a chill party to a high-energy dance floor. Before me, the two amazing DJs 'The Honey Tapes' from London delivered an unbelievably good power-house set and, at the same time, their first-ever festival set, leaving everyone thrilled and exhausted. I had no intention of directly picking up from there, so I started by lowering the BPM quite a bit and gave myself and the crowd some time to come down with a few more melancholic tracks to gather energy for the finale. It didn't surprise me at all that a handful of people, including some friends, switched stages - in fact, I expected and welcomed it. I refuse to simply cater to expectations and deliver on demand; my little hobby project Cotumo means too much to me for that. With an extended set time of 4 hours, I had all the time in the world to gradually build up the set, fill the dance floor again (luckily also with my missing friends), and take it to new heights.

My personal highlight was definitely XXX, who suddenly started dancing on a trash bin right in the middle of the dance floor... and oh, how he danced! It was delightful to watch him and musically feed off his energy. For me, it was a more than perfect weekend with a fitting conclusion. I even managed to make it on time to catch Dohse's set, and there are rumors that a certain Mr. Siriusmo was present for the first time and understood the impact he had with his track; love!

When we heard that we were to play the opening set on Wiese main floor at Nation of Gondwana 2023 (the 29th issue of this mainstay of Open Air culture, btw) we were unsure what to make of it. Surprisingly it worked out quite well. Hugz to our steadfast fanbase still turning up in numbers after 22 years! More thanks the red hot ´n hungry festival crowd who made it such a blast and the marvellous NoG Team still making it happen. Punks not dead! [deep Kotau]
