This time I took more of a Folk route to facilitate my expression of emotions. This time inspiration did come from a dark place, but I love the fact that the light within it could still be heard. This is a combination of Folk, African rythms, and a bit of ambience to it. Like most of my music, it will leave you guessing what genre this is.

In a way this is my rendition of a song I'd make if I produced for Frank Ocean, was definitely inspired by his works for this one. The influence of traditional Asian and African music should'nt escape mention. I just hope the sounds bring joy to your heart tbh:)

Sanctuary is based off the concept of Escapism, just wanted to make a track to help me get away from reality and enter an imaginary world of my own where there's birds and flowers.

To me this is a breath of fresh air. Really wanted to do something outside of my comfort zone and experiment with heavy trap vibes, especially since I've been listening to a lot of Jaden Smith. His influence here can definitely be heard here.

We wanted to make a song that felt like more than a song, in short... A track that sounds like a movie. With inspirations from artists such as Birdy, Daughter and Sleeping At Last we were able to create 'Detachment'. 
The name of the track came from one of our favorite movies off all time, Detachment.

Originally the track was made a while ago, although was retouched to fit then narrative of the EP. Overall the track plays on themes such as long distance romance and finding strength in vulnerability.

Hailing all the way from sunny Cape Town, Skai Lounge is well known for blending rich African rhythms w contemporary Electronic textures to capture moments akin to surrealism. This is exactly what we get from his latest track 'Maybe Maybe' but with a touch of a dystopian feel. Although, the honey sweet vocals of Juliet July creates a fascinating contrast and her lyrics explore the weight of uncertainty and how our perception of the can either make us - or break us.

The two literally met via Soundcloud 2yrs ago and their collaborative EP is due for  release within this year, with Maybe Maybe being the lead single.
